This was an awful experience. Our server was rude and just seemed annoyed any of our requests. The pancakes were over done and extremely dry. The potatoes had too much seasoning. Also the smoked salmon was actually lox and mixed in with the egg whites that were watery. Overall, the food was extremely salty.

They were happy to accommodate a large rowdy crew of 13. The duck is always my favorite entree. They always cook the duck perfectly and the currant merlot sauce is a wonderful compliment to the duck. My friend ordered the sea bass tacos. She thought it was a little too fishy for her liking. The service was a little slow but good company and BYOBing it helped pass the time. Always a great place for a special occasion.

Pleasantly surprised. We got the crispy calamari to start, the pan roasted duck and the fettuccine Alfredo. The entrees were well made and balanced in terms of palette. My only remark about the food was that the calamari was not crispy but more on the soggy end.Not the greatest atmosphere but the food is what you’d come for.

Food and service were amazing. As was the unsweetened tea. Really recommend this beautiful place.

Food was superb! We got scallops, filet, filet tips, and braised short rib. All dishes were fabulous and service was amazing despite how busy it was on a Saturday. Would love to return to try more menu options.

We attended the early service of their New Year's Eve Dinner. It was delicious and affordable for a fancy dinner. We were a big group, and all of the different dishes were prepared well and enjoyed thoroughly although we were a little rushed to let them set up for the next service. Parking is not easy, but our parties were fortunate to find spots. The ambience, tables and chairs are less elegant than the food, but overall a great value.

Food is just as good as I remember. Staff is nice and knowledgeable with great recommendations. Cute little place to grab quality food.Parking: It's downtown Phoenixville so paid parking on the street depending on what time you get there then it's free. Going on a weekend makes parking the least enjoyable part about eating there but that's the same for all the restaurants on the main strip so no fault of the establishment. I still keep coming back so it's okay.

BLB was very nice. Reservations were early at 5:15 and was seated immediately. I didn't realize it was BYOB but that did not detract from the meal. I had the duck/shrimp dinner and it was delicious. My guests also liked their meals. The service was attentive and quick. It really worked out well for my first time trying this restaurant. I'd definitely go back to try some of the other options on the menu.

Our entrees were good, although my wife's lamb chops were cooked beyond the medium rare she ordered, she said they were still good. The appetizers were very disappointing and looked thrown together. Service was unnecessarily lacking.we really don't expect a lot and have daughters who serve so we are very understanding, but I felt neglected.

Four of us had an early dinner, been over a year since we ate at the Black Lab. The food was average, my scallop dinner had three large scallops with wipped potatos was a little pricey. My wife had the tip steaks and was very blah with the vegetables. If friends were not with us, I would have said something to the server. The server never asked how the dinners were, she should have seen that much was left on the plate. The menus are on plain white paper and are used over and over. Did not receive clean forks after our appetizers. The restaurant has been here for a long time but this time they fell short on food and service.

First I will say, it's not their fault that phoenixville is so popular and parking is just awful on the weekends. The four of us all found our meals to be just ok. My butternut squash ravioli were previously frozen and were rubbery. The flavor was bland as so was the fettuccine Alfredo. It's loud and difficult to make conversation. Service was fair. The prices were not terrible, pretty much the same as all the other restaurants in the area. An additional visit in the future is not probable.

Lobster bisque was fair, my ravioli was frozen and bland. The fettuccine Alfredo was flavorless, the salmon was too fishy. No one came around to cheese or pepper our main dishes nor was it available on the table. Extremely noisy and somewhat cramped.
