I had the chicken pot pie and at the bottom of the bowl, the food was cold and there was a bone, but the food over all was good, the small restaurant was warm and cozy with plenty of dead animals hanging all over the walls, along with potato chip cans from the yesterday years

I tried the place based on reviews and photos. I thought the food was great. I ordered eggs over medium, bacon, home fries with onion and homemade toast. Everything was cooked to my specifications, very tasty. My waitress was busy but let her grumpy attitude shine through. There were other wait staff being friendly and smiling while working. The atmosphere was busy, but I liked the look and feel of the place. Sorry, left my phone in the truck, so no photos.Parking: I parked my bobtail with no problem.

When u call for take out, Always ck to see if they have the right order in it. Several times the orders have been wrong. Their burgers aren't juicy at all. Infact, they r cooked so hard n blackend like a hockey puck.Their mashed potatoes r always cold( dine in), n they sit in ur stomach like a cement block. They always way over cook their liver as well til the top n bottom r burnt black. Their French toast is good n sausage links r too. Idk if they have young kuds cooking back there or what is going on. They used to be really good but times* sadly( have changed). Their birch beer is good.

We had the Monday broasted chicken special. Plenty of food, fantastic price, tasted great, friendly service, clean tables, floors, & everything else that I could observe. Nice atmosphere, definitely a good place to stop when getting off of 81.

Went to Buddy’s by accident, we turned right off the highway, but it definitely wasn’t the wrong way. When they say “their” roast beef on the roast beef sub, they mean thick strips of roast beef! Ordered the small sub and the homemade cream of potato soup (delicious) and took half the sub home. Prices are great for the amount of food you get and the wait staff is amazing. Looking forward to our next trip down 81!

If I could give zero stars then I would. BEWARE of the cucumber salad, ours had a thumb nail in it. It's just gross but it started with our order. On the menu board, which has the DAILY SPECIALS written on it each day, was written grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was 1245. My husband ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup. " Oh we're out of the tomato soup", the waitress said. Well then erase it from the board how 'bout. Anyway he got the veggie beef and left half the soup because it was flavorless. I have a suggestion. Rather than running out of what you advertise, buy yourself a can or two of Campbell's tomato soup. And please don't say that you wouldn't sell canned soup cuz your soup is not that good, so it would be a lateral exchange and maybe even a step up, flavor wise anyway, to have a can of Campbell's. That's strike one. Then, again it's lunchtime, my granddaughter ordered mashed potatoes. When they were delivered there were brown lumps in them about 1/2 inch by 1 inch. Reminded me of crusts of bread. I originally thought that they brought her the bread filling by mistake. So we showed the waitress and she said that it's probably from being heated in the microwave and it got burnt or like brown on the bottom. She said that she would get her fresh. It seemed obvious to me that it was the same exact dish of potatoes with the large brown chunks picked out. I didn't express what I thought about the mashed potatoes to my granddaughter because then she might not eat them. Strike two!My daughter got the cucumber salad and she felt something unusual in her mouth while chewing the cucumber. A THUMB NAIL!!!! It was a fingernail. It looked like it came from a thumb. I was so upset that I showed the waitress and asked for the chef( probably not a chef, cook would have been a better choice of words). The waitress said that she just left. I gave her the nail. I was so upset that i didn't think to ask for it back and/or take a pic. STRIKE THREE and you are out.Sincerely and with disgust, Jolene
