We had a great table with a view. Very cool atmosphere. I felt menu was limited but the food was good. Excellent service! That being said they supposedly have a very strict dress code. However you can eat in the bar area if you’re wearing sweats and hoodies. You are not permitted in the dining area. However the dining area is literally right next to the bar area. Two people in our party ordered well done steaks. They both came very pink and had to be sent back. They were delicious after that. Great restaurant but not a five star in my opinion.

Proposed to my girlfriend here (now fiancée). The staff were exceptionally accommodating and coordinating to the my requests to make the night absolutely memorable. My sisters secretly also came to take some candid shots; I was told that one of the staff redirected my fiancée to the restroom and successfully kept my sisters outta sight. If that isn’t exceptional service, I don’t know what is! Many thanks again to the staff here, I am beyond grateful!
I was refused service at Altius today because I was wearing a pink sweater with a sequin green shamrock on it. And yes, my husband & I had a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were both dressed in business casual attire but apparently, holiday and/or festive wear is not accepted at the restaurant. Well, if that is the case, Altius should clarify that on their website. I am appalled that I was basically thrown out for wearing a green shamrock on my sweater. Maybe Altius should consider the roots of Pittsburgh & the steel working blue collar families that built this town who are proud of their heritage before you turn people away. True Pittsburghers don't appreciate your type of pettiness. Thank you, Altius, for ruining my anniversary dinner. You should be ashamed of yourself.

The food and drink is excellent. The Chilean sea bass was very good. My wife got the pork chop, which was absolutely amazing (thanks for the taste hun). The view is fantastic as you look at the three rivers and downtown Pittsburgh. It was fun sipping on some cocktails and taking in the view. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to.

This is the first restaurant that I've ever dined at that actually asked me to pay for the meal in full when making the reservation weeks in advance.Been here multiple times in the past and the food has been good, not great! Definitely not pay in advance worthy.
The service, the food, everything was excellent. The view of Pittsburgh blew both mine and my dates mind with just how beautiful it was! Everything showed up fairly quickly, and the lamb was the definition of falling off the bone. Absolutely would come again!

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had! The ambience and view of Pittsburgh from Mount Washington is impeccable. The servers were prompt, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs. The food was cooked perfectly and flavorful. The dessert was one of the most dynamic and beautiful dishes I've ever seen. Altius is a must go!
