Hidden breakfast and lunch spot in the heart of Shadyside. Very good grits and other breakfast specialties. Diner-style food is prepared with care. Small place. A local small business - brother-and-sister owned. Great people. Give it a try. Cash only.

I love Angela’s! They make their food with such care. Truly the best waffle I’ve ever had. And such kind people and service. A hidden gem and welcome change from the typical subpar / overpriced diners around.

Cute hidden cafe serving breakfast and lunch. Very simple and accommodating. Cash only. I had a cheese omelet, Belgium waffle and tea all for $18! Plus tip. The warm butter syrup makes the waffle! Also, there was no wait!

Use to come out here alone or w visiting friends like once or twice a week but moved. This place goes straight to your soul, if you come from anywhere down south or major metropolitan then youd 100% get this vibe. You can taste the quality of rhe food that its local, the price is great for high quality ingredients. Consistent recipe, feels like im somewhwre in brooklyn w thw small intimate space, and i absoluteley loved that. Yall and those GRITS!??????

We got 1 order of eggs and 2 omelette a for our table. We waited 1 hour and 20 min without receiving food, on what I thought was a simple order. It’s a tiny place with under 10 tables seated. It should not take over an hour to make eggs. I can’t comment on the food as I never tried it.

Had to wait over an hour to get my order of 2 eggs. Staff seemed very discombobulated and there was no communication whatsoever about their lack of staff. Inside was over 100 degrees and there was only one chef in the kitchen. Absolute nightmare and highly recommend taking your money elsewhere.

Dining area and food was gross and out of most things on the menu despite being empty. Think I heard microwaves going off in the back.

Best waffle I’ve ever had in my life, absolutely fantastic. I got a southern omelette and the Chorizo was absurdly good. Highly highly recommend it if you love homemade, fresh, food with local ingredients

Quaint little spot. It was suggested to me by a friend while I was visiting Pittsburg (for the first time) for a quick getaway trip - yes, I'm an avid Steelers fan!! I went there during breakfast time. He (my friend) suggested I try their crepes. But I have to brag first. I make homemade pancakes, and I make them so well that I'm ALWAYS pegged by my family (all sides) to make pancakes for breakfast. Angela's crepes made me ashamed of my recipe. OMG!! Sooo light, larger than the plate & tasty! I do plan on visiting Pitt again, but not w/o a stop @ Angela's.

Don't let the pictures fool you! This food is flavorful and extremely delicious. These southern siblings make amazing grits but the BEST thing to try your first time is the waffles. Had the blueberry one and they are on a different level of fantastic. I've never eaten a waffle so good in my life! They purée fresh blueberries in a light syrup to coat the fluffy crispy waffle covered with extremely fresh blueberries on top. They get ingredients from local farms. You have to stop by and try this place out. Seriously great stuff. I will be back again as soon as possible!

The Blueberry Belgian waffle is my new religion: the blueberry syrup-sauce my messiah, the blueberries my priest, the crispy-perfection waffle my church. Seriously it’s ALL so good; extremely homemade and locally-sourced. I can taste the love in every bite. Will definitely be coming back!Thank you Richard and Debbie for this wonderfully delicious start to my morning.
