Incredible place, so sad to see it go. I took home some of their brunch goodies last weekend and relished every bite of what would be my last meal from this lovely little place. The staff members are all so truly kind and warm-hearted, and I know that every item on the ever-changing menu over the years was thoughtfully curated and intentionally designed to support local vendors and their own robust garden fare. I will be sure to support Thyme Machine when it takes over the space, but I will miss the gorgeous donuts and behemoth breakfast sandwiches.

So sad to see the business coming to and end...so I came for the last brunch on Saturday - The wait was long for the brunch, but their gorgeous food worth every second of it! Breakfast Salad - perfect sunny side up, the organic veggies, griddled potatoes, walnut and pumpkin seeds Ham & Cheese The Melt Sandwich - on their house made sourdough, griddled with mayo and butter m, best melt ever Mandarin Ricotta toast with sliced almond, super flavorful and refreshing - Anyways I definitely will miss them in the future. If you are interested, don't miss out their end service on Wednesday 4/20!

This crew makes some of the tastiest brunch eats around the burgh. In the first bite, you can taste the layers of forethought and expertise that go into each sandwich, specialty toast, or bowl. They always greet you with a friendly hello and their foods/drinks are always a treat. Thankful to have them whipping it up in my neighborhood! 11/10 would recommend for people who appreciate good food.

I am constantly craving their egg sandwiches. So healthy and so good. Small and cute sometimes a little crowded but very homely.

Got a breakfast sandwich, and I can say with all honesty, it was the best I've ever had

PEOPLE, this place is 110% WORTH THE HYPE. Run don't walk because they may run out. Everything is fresh, made with care and packed with flavor. We had the donut of the day to start which was delicious and a must try. Then we had the Sandwich bro and the breakfast hoagie. Price is fair due to the fact they PACK both full with delicious dressed greens spilling out. One the sandwich, the "cheddar shower" is so good you'll want to bathe in it. I'm sure everything is amazing so try anything and you'll thank me later.

Absolutely delicious. I'm so sad that I live in San Francisco and can't keep coming back here. Would in a heartbeat. Loved my hawaiian melt stuffed with wholesome veggies. Will be haunted forever by not having gotten the veggie hoagie and finding out what a "bean slap" is.

I tried a breakfast sandwich from the Thyme Machine pop up last weekend, and it was incredible! I have never been to Bitter Ends before, and I know they have been closed for a while. I have seen some of their side dishes in the back refrigerator and Gina's produce market a few doors up. I did get a chance to try one of their famous donuts from Tina's at the Bloomfield Farmers Market. It was strawberry kale flavored, which sounds weird, but it was delicious! The donuts are dense and taste like a sweet fried bread. The glaze on top is not to sweet and is really tasty. I was passing by Bitter Ends/Thyme Machine in the morning and saw about 30 people in line for the breakfast. On my way back from the market around 1 pm, I saw just a few people in line. I decided to stop since I finally was about to catch them at the right time! A few sandwiches were already crossed off the small printed out menu by the window. I was between the mushroom and swiss sandwich or the tomato and goat cheese. Knowing that good heirloom tomatoes are finally in season, I decided to go with that one. The sandwich was juicy and savory and so delicious! It was on a grilled sesame bun with herbed goat cheese, salsa verde, big slices of tomato, and a fried egg. I also ordered their donut of the day, which was blueberry lemon. It was so fresh and reminded me of a blueberry muffin. The sandwich was amazing and kept me full all day. I sat at a table outside on the stacked up milk crates and ate my sandwich. I hope to stop here again soon!

I'm not the kind of person who will go out in the morning unless I have a commitment like work or whatever otherwise I'm staying in. Bitter Ends is the one exception where I will actually go out for breakfast, because that is how good the food is.

Business AsUsual

Went here for lunch. Not bad for fast quick on the go at Bitter Ends.

I love brunch. My daughter loves brunch. This place -- we loved. The food is interesting, thoughtful, and delicious. This is definitely not a place where you would go if you're looking for table service -- it's very casual, you line up to order, and the food is delivered to your table....wherever it may be. We sat outside, and shared a picnic table with another group, but it's all good. I thought it was one of the most imaginative brunch menus I've seen in years.

I absolutely love their take out Sunday brunch and dinners that they've started doing during COVID. It's something I look forward to all week! The food is always fresh, filling and unique!
