This place has really good food and I love supporting them but every single time I try to call them NO ONE ever picks up the phone/the phone call just clicks off/the voicemail is full. It's truly frustrating because once again their food is really good. Hopefully this major issue gets fixed! I didn't give any stars toward their atmosphere because I've never eaten inside the restaurant.

I only gave these people one star because that was the lowest. The southside location was closed but they did not have anything posted on line or on the door saying they were closed for repairs. I then drove to the Northside location and they had NOTHING! it was early morning so they should have had food. I WILL NEVER ATTEMPT TO PATRONIZE THIS PLACE AGAIN! THEY HAVE GONE DOWNHILL!

Maybe I caught you on a bad day but as someone from the south I’m embarrassed that you called this soul food. No flavor, no sauce. I got Mac and cheese, brisket, meatloaf, and mashed potatoes. How can you smoke brisket and it have no flavor?? The meatloaf looks like pig brains. I’m so sad I chose to spend my money on this in hopes of getting comfort food.

In my efforts to buy Black and spend Black, I took my daughter there while we visited "home" during COVID. The experience was less than desirable, yet understandable because of the pandemic. During our recent visit, we viewed people eating Burger King takeout seated at the window - peculiar to say the least. We asked if it was dine in and we're told, "NOPE, EVERYTHING IS TAKE OUT". In astonishment we continued to gaze at the couple SEATED eating BURGER KING!! This is beyond untenable for any establishment let alone a Black one. They'll never see another dime from me or anyone associated with me be it business or personal. We left immediately. DO BETTER.

Ordered through Ubereats….. service was quick. I had wings and macaroni and cheese. The wings were good on the outside very crisp and flavor was really nice . However when I bite into my wings it was really red. They need to cook them just a little more. Macaroni .. was just noodles and cheese nothing special I can taste the Kraft .

We ordered their full thanksgiving meal. It was delicious. There was so much food I think we could have fed 10+ comfortably. Everything was prepared perfectly, all we had to do was cook the Turkey and heat the sides. The Turkey was so juicy and delicious all the sides were amazing seasoned perfectly and delicious. We had some trouble with finding the instructions but the owner who was so kind got them to me in no time. Everything was literally perfect. I highly recommend getting the full thanksgiving dinner, you won’t regret it.

I ordered against my better judgment. People was telling me about this place. It was people from Pittsburgh of course. I even looked at the reviews before hand. Again, more then likely Pittsburgh people. Ain't nothing worst then being hungry as hell and getting bad food. I'ma a true southern girl, and this wasn't soul food! They left out the potatoe salad. Which turned out to be good for me. It was bland, fatty ribs, chicken dry, and collardgreens SMH! I didn't order cake cornbread but I got it. Not a jiffy girl. I like real cornbread. I've been here 22yrs. and tasted a handful of real soul food. If you want it done right, do it yourself! Looks are deceiving! NEVER AGAIN!
This is my 1st and possible last time trying this establishment. I order the ch8cken tenders that were supposed to come with 2 sides. The sides I picked were greens and Mac and cheese. I did not receive mac and cheese, instead I received what looked like a small piece of crumbling cornbread. As far as the protein (ch8cken tenders), they were warm and bland beyond taste. They lack any source of flavor. 2/10! I also order 2 ribs. I was under the impression the ribs would come with sauce on them. They didn't. That's okay though. The ribs were supposedly smoked, I tasted little smoke on these ribs and no additional flavor. They also weren't fall off the bone as I read in a few other reviews. 2/10. I'm absolutely disappointed in what I received today!

This place has delicious comfort food! I had their fried Catfish, yams and mac &cheese. So good. I tried the banana pudding it was good, just a bit too much pudding for me. I will definitely be back!

Delicious. Got smoked ribs and they were tender juicy and delicious. Love the BBQ sauce. Got mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac n cheese which was also delicious. Super friendly people too. Will definitely be back.

I am on the Carnivore diet only eating mea, so I ordered just the meat without any sausages. The ribs were outstanding. The steak was very good as well. We went because there was supposed to be live music, but it had been canceled. Also note that they can not sit groups of more than 4 at one table. I would go back. Seems like a nice place, and the food was well worth it.
