I enjoyed the place at first until I met the owner...Abusive, control freak who takes his own insecurities out on his customers & the women/men in his life.I don't suggest this bar... I love small businesses! Just not abusive, the racist, sexist, passive aggressive type of owners...Not judging anyone for their past.My option, he is stuck in that biker gang, tough guy mindset.The number for this establishment has been disconnected for 2years?Just sad. There are a thousand other local good spots to visit. Support! Carmellas plates & pints! Same price for a better quality!

Friendly staff. Nice cash only bar with pool table and dart boards. Dance floor as well. Not from the area and the bartender gave us some really helpful information about other cool places in the area. Thanks for the great service!

The staff were all super dope. The area for bands is pretty fffing small though. I mean great for a solo act, but cramped for even 3 people, let alone 5 and a drum kit ? and I am sure carrying equipment up those narrow stairs sucked. Still definitely recommend checking the place out

Not sure about the music downstairs. Not really a hip hop club. I know Casey's as more of a rock and roll bar. But I'm in my 50s so ... Not so much into hip hop. Glad they're doing shows upstairs.

Small, cramped dancefloor. Weird, uncomfortable "bully who pretends to be your friend" type vibes from the more active of the two bartenders on staff. At one point in the night he got angry and screamed at a guy who asked for a drink - for interrupting his attempt to hit on one of the other patrons, a woman who looked scared and was clearly not feeling the bartender's untoward expressions of lust. Actual event I went there for wasn't horrible, but was very crowded with limited table/seating real estate leaving attendees to stand around awkwardly. Main advantage is the cheap drinks, but this is very much a South Side bar with all the baggage that entails. Might like it better on another, future visit.
