We came here after dinner for a sweet snack and it hit the spot. I got the coffee ice cream, my friend got coconut, and my other friend got cookie dough. We were all satisfied!!
What a great spot that has a lot of sweet choices! Ice cream, smoothies, frappes, floats, cookies, blondies, and more. I finally decided on a milkshake, but only after I sampled some ice cream flavors for my milkshake. They did have milkshake flavors you could order, but I decided to make my own. Salted peanut butter and vanilla are what I chose. And it was really good! This place is big too. There was a big seating section in the back that I only noticed by the sign that said to come sit and stay awhile. I almost forgot how helpful the two staff members were who helped me not only to help me with my choice of what to order (Frappe or milkshake) but also how to walk on the snowy/icy side walks. Thank you!

We love it here! Gorgeous ice cream shop with awesome coffee/tea selection also.
This is a combo coffee and ice cream shop. The menu is quite long! Luckily, you can taste the ice creams. I went with the peppermint chocolate chip, which did have sort of a gummy texture. Very generous scoops with the waffle cones! Prices fair. I admit I found the bakery cabinet in front of the counter awkwardly placed. Apparently, there's more seating in the back if you want to stay longer to work. Street parking. 3.5 stars, rounded up. I'd be willing to try it again.

I had their coffee mocha ice cream and it was the best ice cream I have eaten.
Workers were nice. Ice cream was really good but not really a reasonable price where I'd recommend it often. Then again the lady did over charge us on accident. Still would recommend for a nice treat.

Coffee ice cream, yes please. I had a scoop in a bowl. I wish it was a little bigger. The ice cream was very creamy and was delicious. The service was attentive. We could sample before we picked one. I wonder after the fact where the ice cream came from or it was made in house. I would stop again.

This is the kind of insipid ice cream that nightmares are made of- flavorless, artificially-colored, and made with no regard for the quality of ingredients. The extensive menu is a dead giveaway that this is not a place that focuses any attention on the artisanry/craft of ice cream-making. Combine that with abounding online reports of poor business and ethical practices, and hygiene issues, and you have a true non-starter in my book. While admittedly the Pgh ice cream/gelato scene has a long way to go to catch up with most US cities, Churn is not a place that I would recommend settling for to get your fix.

So many flavors! It was delicious! I got Nutella and Reese's mixed in vanilla and almost finished it all. The smallest size is HUGE!

Wasn't impressed with Churn. The shop itself isn't unappealing, but I wasn't drawn to any of their flavors. I got the caramel hard serve on a waffle cone, I don't think I would get it again. Before you go here, please make sure you read the health inspection report.
