Definitely one of my fav Thai spots in the city of Pitt. Cozy mom and pop, reminds me of NYC in that way, and also because it's open later than most! Service is very attentive and also fast. Love Nicky's Thai for swanky vibes, but love Dancing Crab for the food and the coziness. They get a 5 for food.

I got the Duck Pad Thai for take out the other day. It was the single mosst delicious Pad Thai I've had since I move to Pittsburgh six months ago. I've tried lots of places, but this was the absolute best, hands down. My only quibble is that I asked for a heat level of 3 (in my previous state I would ask for a 5 - out of 10 - to get a baseline) because people's reviews have talked about how they ordered a 4 and it was so hot it was like a 6 or 7. So I went for a 3 and it was as hot as a 7 or 8. It was so hot it made my eyes water. Delicious but far too spicy. I think next time - and there will definitely be a next time - I will request a 1 and hopfully get it down to a level 5). Now I want to order it again for tonight because writing about it has made me want to eat it again.

We went here for my birthday dinner and it did NOT disappoint. We ordered 5 different things and they were all amazing. They have the absolute best crab rangoons I’ve ever had. The chicken pad Thai was so flavorful and my husband couldn’t stop raving about his pork belly dish and Thai chili wings. We will definitely be repeat customers!!

Stopped by today for dinner and had the best Thai food ever! First off, the owners are so kind! There is also a lot of fresh flowers and plants throughout. After getting seated, I ordered the Thai iced tea and the red curry noodle with chicken (spice level 6). My parented ordered the pad see ew with chicken (spice level 8). We were so impressed with the flavor of everything AND the spice. Sometimes places don't have spice, but this delivered. Don't sleep on Dancing Crab!! We are already thinking about going back.

Worst Pad Thai I've had in Pittsburgh. Drowning in sauce, which is exactly the opposite of how Pad Thai should be.

Don't order the fried calamari. Paid $12 for a tiny portion. I ordered this using Uber eats too. Highly disappointed.

Food used to be good but I wouldn't know any more. Guy let me leave with the wrong order, I called him to bring it back. Was told that he had my order there and we would swap. He gave someone else my order as well as the order that I had opened. Ended up requesting a refund because I already waited for my food to be made. Disappointing.

The food was good. I ordered Thai fried rice, pad Thai and spring rolls. I got a level 3 spice but probably could have gotten higher. The service was not good though. There was only one person working and they seemed either overwhelmed even though it was not busy.

The food here was really good. We got some pot stickers as an appetizer. Only came with 4 though. Then, as my meal I got some crab rangoons that were great. My friends both got the drunken noodles with chicken and they weren't bad. The service however was not great. We had to call our server over for refills, to order, etc. She was the only server, so I do have sympathy for her; however, it was not busy at all. We were the only people there at one point. It was clean and cozy though.

The food was decent, but the spiciness rating system was way off. One dish seasoned to a level "1" spice was about as hot as another seasoned to a "6". The appetizers were tiny for the price, especially the calamari serving. The music was quite loud, making dinner conversation a challenge. This is a problem at many restaurants.

Out of a dozen or so versions of spicy Thai fried rice that I've tried, Dancing Crab's is the best.

With so many Thai options in Pittsburgh, it's tough to know which ones are the best and Dancing Crab easily tops the list. I think every Thai restaurant in pgh is good for different things and I think Dancing Crab has the best fried rice in the area. Stopped in w a couple friends and we had such a great time. The family who owns the establishment could not have been kinder and the service is always amazing. Their Thai tea is the best in the city and is, of course, delicious. Every person I've taken here has said that they can't wait to come back. I opted for the pineapple fried rice with tofu, you can choose between a couple different protein options but I wasn't really in the mood to eat meat. My friend got the same fried rice but with chicken and loved it. You will be asked what spice level you'd like your food and ONLY get the higher levels if you truly like spicy food. That might seem pretty self explanatory but I learned my lesson the hard way since the levels are a bit spicier than you think it would be. It's out of a scale of 10 and I opted for a 2.5. As someone who loves spicy food I felt like this was actually like a 4-5 so this was perfect for me. The portions are large so I had enough food for lunch the next day. I thought the rice was perfect and there was enough of each topping in my fried rice. Such a cute spot and I hope they get the busy business they deserve. You won't regret stopping by!

Nice place but food was not worth the price. My daughter ordered curry and requested a 7 spice level. No spice at all and very salty. I got the duck noodle soup...I was not expecting to see fettuccine noodles!! As a Thai native, I was not impressed! Very
