We came to eat at this restaurant and as soon as we entered a drunk lady who apparently was the owner or something like that started to fight with us we had to leave there so I went to the cashier to pay for some soft drinks that we already had uncovered and the same An alcoholic lady came up to try to fight with us and had the intention of having a fight, which we didn't give in to, and the people inside in the kitchen and cash register only looked at this person with fright. It is worth mentioning that no one said anything to her about her behavior. towards us.

A little hole in the wall where the Mexican locals go. Both of us ordered the green enchiladas, with rice and beans, they were delicious. The food is more authentic and closer to actual Mexican food than anything I've found in the eastern part of the country. Price is very reasonable and service is excellent. I'm definitely stopping by when in the area.

Food was great, do recommend to come. The price of the taco is pretty cheap ($3 at this time) compared to all other places. Meat of asada was good, not salty. Tortillas amazing as they are handmade. Lots of meat on the taco of cabeza. Not photographed was the side of rice but that was not very good, it had too much garlic on it. Maybe it was a bad batch but I'm really particular with my rice. The red salsa which is of chile de árbol was spicy but did not have much taste to it other than the spiciness. The green salsa was good but not spicy. The inside was like any Mexican joint I've been to.

I was really hoping to finally find a decent Mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh, and this had promise. But it was ultimately very, very disappointing. The tacos were tendony, the beans were cold, and the shrimp tasted like it has been refrigerated for two weeks.

Great authentic mexican cuisine (from what does this gringo knows). Had the Tamiquena (pictured) & it was great. Burrito was also good. Worth crossing a river for!

Pozole is effing good! It's my go to place, and probably only go to place in all of Pittsburgh for it. No frills restaurant (sometimes don't have items on menu), but for the Mexican homies I've seen kareoke and byob, and it gets happening....but don't recommend if you're not used to it, think dive restaurant, and not the hipster kind.Parking: Paid city lot right across the street.

We order from here all the time. Favorite place for authentic Mexican food. Loved the vegetarian enchiladas. This time when we ordered, we were served raw vegetables, including potatoes and carrots, wrapped in tortillas instead of the usual fajita vegetables. Not sure what happened, but was very disappointing, would not recommend you order vegetarian food here. Not sure if it is worth taking a chance with.

The absolute best burrito I have ever had. It doesn't even taste like other burritos you get from Chipotle, Taco Bell, etc. This is the real deal. Place is a must-go. You will not be disappointed.

This place reminds me of the simple, diner-style restaurants I frequented when I lived in Spain. You will find a lot of Mexican locals eating there, which I thought was a good sign when I entered my first time. The service is friendly and cordial and I have never felt rushed. It can be busy sometimes, but that's a sign of a good restaurant. If you are in the mood to try authentic foods in a very casual atmosphere, El Paisano is a great option.

This restaurant serves authentic Mexican food, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of our carry out meals. They gave good sized portions and were reasonably priced.
