I do not recommend anyone brown skin going to this bar if you're not Caucasian I was there the other night with a few friends and the bartenders refused to serve as we sat there for 20 minutes trying to get their attention and it and the bartenders refused to serve as we sat there for 20 minutes trying to get their attention and it wasn't even crowded... They ignored all of our attempts to get their attention and they kept going to one person in particular kissing her hand and ignoring us we had to ask her to order our drinks and offer to buy her a drink just for ordering our drinks because they wouldn't take our service I never been in a place more races I do not recommend going there if you're not Caucasian or a biker don't go because they are really racist it was a Caucasian older woman and two Caucasian men I've never been discriminated in my life like that

I remember Jack’s, when it was Jack’s Rosebar my mother worked there. I worked there for a small amount of time .best fish, sandwiches, ever! I know this because I used to make them there back in 1980. I no longer live in Pittsburgh. Haven’t been there in 25 years but Jack’s Rosebar will always be there. Thank you to whoever owns it now.

Bouncer was surly and nasty to our party, seemed like he was looking for a fight, even though our IDs were fine. Didn't see him check IDs of anyone else, but he had plenty of time to harass us. Avoid this place at all costs.

Best "Dive Bar" in the 'Burgh! Located in the heart of the South Side on E. Carson St. The 3 bartender's I've encountered were all very friendly and accommodating. Down to earth and friendly clientele as well. All walks of life are welcome in this vintage bar. Food is freshly prepared right in front of you. Tourist friendly! Look forward to my next visit. Enjoy and stay safe!
I have been stopping in Jacks since the early 90s. Whenever I'm in town and in Southside we stop..Don't stop if you don't like cigarettes smoke, old school ?
