Fantastic lunch spot. You can build your own bowl with all the options for grain, protein, veggies, and toppings. Portion was large and not too pricey. Service was quick and friendly. They even gave me a rewards card (buy 10 bowls get one free) so in case I needed any more incentive to come back, I now have it. My only tip would be to arrive after the noon lunch rush. I went around 1 and had no wait, but one day a few weeks ago I stuck my head in at 12 and it was packed.

This is my absolute favorite place in Oakland!! It's a very convenient walk from the Pitt Public Health building.My go-to is the Aloha Classic because I wouldn't change anything about it, but there is also a build-your-own-bowl sheet. The fish is incredibly fresh and the minced spicy tuna exceeds any other poke restaurant I've been to. The other vegetarian ingredients like avocado, onions, and seaweed salad are also incredibly fresh! Every order comes with Miso soup which is especially welcome during the colder weather. All in all, for the portion size and quality you're getting, $15 is a great deal.I also occasionally order the mango milk tea. It's very tasty and is still sweet even at 0% or 30% sweetness. The service is very fast and friendly. 5/5 highly recommend this place to any raw fish lovers!

i cant stress how good their bowls are! I get my usual- white rice, raw salmon, cucumber, and spicy mayo sauce! you get more options with the same price of $9.25 with certain limitation! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for cheap and good bowls!! 10/10 will be back
JJ has been my go to place for years ? I’m a dedicated fan and consistently go at least once every few weeks ? The prices are so reasonable and the service is insanely fast. JJ doesn’t ever skimp on the portions!!!!!

The food is good I order from uber eats and there is a 13 dollar service fee or "basket fee" for literally two things and they can't even provide chop sticks. I got shrimp as one of my proteins and their very small little shrimp you would think they would have bigger shrimp since it's a poke bowl. There alright though there like the subway of poke bowls.
