La Gourmandine has a great selection of pastries and breakfast danishes and all of them are delicious and not pricey. The interior design is super cute and the service is very fast. The Tarte Au Citron is great if you want something that isn't too sweet - the tart and the lemon combination is delicious. There are also seasonal specials to look forward to. I've also ordered a few cakes from here and the process and pick-up is seamless.

Update: I literally just walked our from having the absolute worst restaurant experience ever! There was mold on my food, which I didn’t discover until I had already eaten half of my turkey sandwich. I went back with it, asked to speak to a manager. When I told Tiffany my situation Tiffany didn’t apologize or even show any concern or regret, Tiffany just asked what would I like for her to do. I’m in shock and disbelief bc I can very well get sick or worst. When I told Tiffany I want a refund, Tiffany refunded my money to the wrong transaction via debit or credit. Tiffany never asked me any information to insure I got my money back. I paid in cash so while she’s getting that sorted out, I’m telling Tiffany how often I come, I leave tips and great reviews. I even sent people over from my job! NOT ANYMORE! I was not treat as a valuable customer or even a decent person. I’m highly disappointed and I feel sick already! I asked her what should I do if I continue to feel sick, Tiffany says she doesn’t know. I don’t think she deserves to be a manager anywhere with that attitude and such poor customer service skills.I’ve been coming here for years and this past experience I had was the best yet. Matt took such great care of me, he went above and beyond to help me. I ordered 2 pink macarons, as usual made to perfection. Instead of a smash cake of our baby’s first birthday we got she a macaron instead and she loved it! This place is a true gem here in Pittsburgh.

Absolutely Fabulous! I make a point of getting espresso and pastry here every time I visit Pittsburgh.

I have tasted 5 or 6 items from La Gourmandine, all of which were excellent, however for me, the almond croissant (croissant amandes) was the best I ever had. I highly recommend stopping here. The staff here is very friendly as well.

The girls that work in there at lunch are rude. This lady in a wheelchair was trying to talk to this one girl and she flat out ignored her. She then got the attention of the other girl and she gave her so much attitude it made me mad. Please get some new workers who know what customer service

Okay so I usually go here and the service is inconsistent, sometimes they seem like they care while other times they are completely rude, I don’t do anything out the ordinary but today instead of getting my usual I got sandwhich and it was moldy, the manager Tiffany was super rude and unattentive like it was my fault the sandwich was moldy! It's my favorite place to visit. It is very inviting and warm as you enter the door. The staff are kind and efficient. I noticed the very best presentation of food on display and most tasteful!Dietary restrictions: I have a medical condition and sensitive to certain foods. Therefore, to have the options and still have good taste is appreciated.

In this cafe, you can find French morning classics like croissants, pain au chocolat etc. The taste is okay 7/10. Prices are a bit high.

Fabulous pan au chocolat, pastries, and croissants. The croissants were flaky and fresh. I enjoyed the quiche and the egg was like custard.
