We were in PIT to see our Braves play the Pirates. It was my husband's birthday. We were driving around to familiarize ourselves with the area and just happened to find Legends. The server was so nice and kept refilling our raspberry tea. Thank you for a great meal and wonderful service .

Before visiting Pittsburgh, my husband did some research to look for a restaurant near our hotel. Luckily, he came across Legends Eatery. It was well rated and had very good comments - now we know why. Our dinner was outstanding! The restaurant is very small - maybe about a dozen or so tables. We ordered the Blackened Shrimp and the Pan Roasted Chicken. The Blackened Shrimp was cooked with Portabella Mushrooms and and cherry tomatoes served over penne. The shrimp were very large and cooked to perfection. The sauce was a light aloi sauce and complimented the shrimp & mushrooms well. The dish was delicious, but out done by the chicken special. I have never had a chicken dish that was better than the Pan Roasted Chicken dish. We would not have ordered it, but when we asked our server she recommended it. Thank you, thank you thank you, Karen! The chicken was very lightly breaded pan roasted with prosciutto, mozzarella and served with hot pepper rings on top and covered with a white wine sauce. My mouth is watering while writing this review. My only suggestion to improve the menu would be - make the Pan Roasted Chicken part of the everyday menu. DEFINITELY a great find! It is a BYO, but has has a corkage fee and there is a CoVid up charge. Despite these, our bill was under $70

Had a private function at Legends recently. Have been here many times during regular business hours and never wrote a review. Not sure why I haven't as this is the best Italian restaurant around. Food is always fresh and reliably delicious. For our private party we had the restaurant to ourselves. If you haven't been the atmosphere is cozy. You can see into the kitchen upon entering the restaurant. We had appetizers, soup, salad and an entree for our group. Nice chunks of fried mozzarella and bruschetta to start. Fresh salad with homemade dressing and wedding soup followed. The entree consisted of a few items from the regular menu. Chicken Romano, penne in vodka sauce and greens and beans. All were fantastic. Service was excellent, as always, and Chef Dan came around to check on everyone. We brought our own cake for dessert but I can personally attest that all the house made items on the dessert menu are to die for. Especially the coconut cream pie. In summary I would recommend Legends for a regular night out or if you are looking for a space for a small private gathering Legends can't be beat.

Best experience I have had maybe ever... The food was amazing, service even better, great atmosphere.

I’ll start off by saying the food was very good - we had veal parm, the shrimp special and fried cannolis, but our dining experience was terrible. First off, when we arrived the hostess asked if we needed our wine opened, and when I pointed out it was a screw top she yelled out “cheater wine” as we were being taken to our table. And then we were charged an $8 corkage fee because the waitress brought us 2 wine glasses! The reason for the poor rating was the experience, which felt more like a diner than fine dining. Our entrees were brought out before we had finished our salads, the waitress interrupted conversations to see “how we were doing” on multiple occasions, the acoustics were terrible and we heard the specials repeated about 4 times as other guests were seated, we felt like we were being rushed despite there being available tables and there was also a 10% “Supply Chain Disruptions” service fee tacked on to the bill in addition to the ridiculous corkage fee (that’s $17 total in additional fees), so despite the food tasting good, we were left with a very bad taste based on the experience.

One of the loudest restaurants I've ever been in. Expensive entrees. Food was very good (I had the chicken parm). Liked the BYOB feature. Complimentary fudge at the end was a nice touch.

We were visiting from out of town and found this place on Yelp. As fairly well-traveled Italians, we have pretty high standards when it comes to Italian food and we were BLOWN AWAY. First, we loved that it was BYOB. However, there is a $2.50 corkage fee per person. We started off with the Margherita appetizer which is a small pizza... it was delicious! We also got the lightest bread for the table with olive oil dipping sauce - yum. We have been to many Italian restaurants that do not serve a salad option with your entree but not Legends! We had the choice of a salad or the soup and we all opted for the salad which was the perfect size. For our dinners, we all ordered something different and there was not one scrap of food left. Definitely go hungry (like we did!) because the portions are fairly large. One pro tip- try the specials-it was to die for. Would 100% recommend and cannot wait to come back the next time we're in Pittsburgh!

This tiny Italian eatery was recommended by a friend, my wife and I made reservations, and this experience was quite possibly, the highlight of our weekend in Pittsburgh! From the ambience to the bread to the appetizer to the entrée and to the cannoli, everything was as close to perfect as it could be! Highly recommend the chicken parmigiana AND the salmon with shrimp ravioli!!!

Best homemade Italian in Pittsburgh. Always take my family when they visit. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu

Made reservations for dinner for 6pm April 23, 2022. We were seated right away. Restaurant was very busy, wait staff are prompt, efficient and helpful in making suggestions for meals. Restaurant very clean. We ordered an appetizer of smoked mozzarella, roasted red peppers, artichokes on a flat bread, very good. We each had a fresh salad with balsamic dressing and was very fresh. Bread with dipping oil was also served. I ordered a special of the day which was smoked ricotta ravioli in a cream sauce with blackened salmon and shrimp; EXCELLENT! My husband ordered the blackened shrimp with ziti, and he loved it. We were too full to enjoy dessert so we were provided with tasty pieces of homemade peanut butter and chocolate fudge. It is important to note there is a charge placed on your bill called a Covid charge. We were surprised but certainly understand the struggles restaurants have had with staffing issues, updated cleaning and masking policies etc. Support your local eateries! All in all it was a pleasant evening and an excellent dinner. Highly recommend. P.S. it is a BYOB establishment.

Such an amazing little place!! Make a reservation because the dining room is small! The staff is so friendly and the service is quick but not rushed. The food was great. The beans and greens app was recommended to us by a friend. Very light and refreshing. Pro tip: dip your bread in the beans and greens juice for an out of body experience. Wedding soup was delicious. I got the chicken Parmesan and my boyfriend got the fettuccine Alfredo. For dessert we split a massive slice of apple pie. They gave us complementary homemade fudge to end the night-but I couldn't possible eat another bite. One of the best Italian places in pittsburgh. Don't forget-BYOB.

When I made reservations I was told that'seating at the table was for 1 hour and 45 minutes. We were agreeable. Arrived to the restaurant five minutes early. Waited an additional 10 minutes before we got seated..told our table was not ready. Meanwhile there were many empty dirty unturned over tables available. Had our meal which was very nice but abruptly told we had to go our time was up the next party is waiting. Promptly paid our bill and left. Never was it mentioned on their chalkboard, menu or anywhere in the restaurant about 10% covid surcharge. Ridiculous. On top of the 20% plus tip that we left. This was unbeknownst to us until we examined the receipt the following day. Totally ridiculous and unacceptable. We are Foodies and eat out a lot. This is the first surcharge we have encountered. The restaurant prices are high to begin with. If you're trying to make up the money then increase the prices of the entrees. That being said, who gets or benefits from the 10% surcharge of the total bill? My guess is the owner. We have been long time, faithful and return customers to Legends. Won't see us again. And I certainly will spread the word. See ya'!
