I've been to this location several times over the years and never had a bad experience. Everything is always fresh and they appreciate the business. I hadn't been there in a while and they still remembered me from my frequent visits. One of my favorite sushi places in Pittsburgh.

Found this while in Pittsburgh for work a couple months ago. Now this is my go to stop every time I am in town. The sushi chefs are amazing, excellent atmosphere, and great service. As a sushi snob, this is good joint. Nakama ain’t got nothing on this!

This was by far some of the best sushi I’ve had in Pittsburgh. Everyone was incredibly nice, from the hostess to the sushi chef. We got three rolls, some nigiri, and the chilled house sake. All delicious.

Little Tokyo on Carson serves up some excellent sushi. The quality for your money is on point. Our server was excellent and very friendly. She was put in the unfortunate position of having to let us know the food was going to be delayed. It was clear the Friday night takeout orders were overwhelming the sushi bar. We waited close to 40 mins for our food which was disappointing. They should look at adding staff for the rush. The restaurant itself is decent but clearly outdated and in need of renovations. The bathrooms desperately need to be updated. Despite some of the shortcomings the food is still excellent so we'll be returning for more. Perhaps we'll stick to takeout next time.

I want to start off by saying I am so disgustingly disappointed. They straight up stole a tip from me. I gave a specific amount, and when the charge posted on my account it was TEN DOLLARS more than what I wrote down including the tip. I wasn’t even given a receipt so now I have no proof to send to my bank for this FRAUDULENT behavior. I was so sad to see this because otherwise the experience was wonderful. Friendly staff, top quality food and didn’t have to wait long. But to be completely robbed blind when I was generous enough to tip in the first place Is just simply beyond me

Incredible sushi with a good variety. We got the edamame and miso soup to start. We ordered several specialty rolls and a few nigiri. Everyone was super friendly and the restaurant looked clean. We can't wait to go back!

Went here for date night after there was long waits everywhere else! It was an awesome surprise! The sushi was so fresh and the speciality rolls were very filling! So many options and there is a sushi chef making the sushi in the front you can watch! Split a bottle of wine. They do not have a huge drink menu. The restaurant was nearly empty but the service was delightful. It felt like a private date night.

The gentleman that runs this places sushi bar clearly cares about his trade. The woman who runs the floor is clearly dedicated. And it's the best sushi I've had in this here

A great meal with such amazing service. Also a nice selection of sake. Portions were perfect and everything tasted delicious. Even their salad blew me away, the dressing was so good! We'll definitely be back!

Until recently, this was my favorite sushi place in Pittsburgh. However, that has changed and it will be a long time before I go back. We had a celebratory dinner there the other night, table of 6, bill around $250. Our waitress was incredibly inexperienced and incompetent. In addition to not being able to hear her, she also couldn’t understand how to even take our order or deliver food to the table without upsetting the whole table. When she removed bowls of miso soup, which we had stacked at the end of the table because she never removed any plates at all before bringing more, she spilled the soup all over me. The soup ended up all over my shirt, jeans, and boots. She didn’t even apologize and barely helped clean it up. She did bring a mop to clean up the floor but we had to beg for more napkins to clean the table - not to mention to sop up the soup that was all over me. She brought us the wrong wine twice, which I drank anyway because she barely visited our table. At the end of the meal, I asked if they would consider comping part of my meal at least, and ended up having to fight with the manager to do so, who acted as if she didn’t understand why I was asking this. She finally agreed to comp one glass of my wine (I had had two) and the least expensive roll I ordered. I was beyond livid considering I had sat there for 90 minutes wet and covered in miso soup. The food itself there is usually amazing but at this visit, the lettuce in the salad was rusty and limp. The avocados in my rolls were brown and even the seafood itself didn’t seem as fresh as usual (although tasted okay and no one got sick). Of course, my entire visit was tainted and my mood ruined given the wet clothes I sat in for the entire meal.I will have to let some time go by before I consider going back here, if I ever do, which I’m sad about because it used to be my favorite sushi in the Burgh.

If you like small pieces of metal in your Udon, this is the place for you!I've always loved Udon, but when we went to Japan last month and had it literally every day (three bowls for 1500 yen, that's about $11.50 and you don't tip in Japan) we really missed it when we came back. We've been trying every Japanese restaurant's Udon to see whose most closely resembles that of the restaurant we went to in Chuo-ku and to find our go-to restaurant, and as you've likely guessed by now, this ain't it. We found the pictured metal sliver in my wife's udon, and that concluded our appetites for the evening. I might have withheld the review if the owner wasn't such a cheap b******* he offered to remake it (not in the mood for more metal slivers, thanks!) or we could have a free one in the future (hard pass.) At the very minimum, you should have refunded what we paid for my wife's, but ideally, when its something like that in your food, you refund the entire order (Unless it's like a $500 order, but this was less than $50.) The search for spectacular Udon continues...

Little Tokyo is AMAZING! I love both their locations (Mt. Lebanon and this one in the Southside) but this one is our go to since it’s so close to the city. Their sushi is always delicious and the service is great for take out or dine in. You can tell the owners are very hard workers who take pride in their restaurants. So happy to have this spot close by for any time I want sushi!

So, I am a person who loves to eat. Not one of those ppl that claims they eat. No, I eat! It sucked. Had to go to get more food after this because it was so unsatisfying. My man won’t stop talking about it and we are currently eating Wendy’s. And this is the box?!! When have you ever got hibachi in this?! And not to mention tofu in the miso soup?! Like be serious. And on top of that $30 of hard earned money for a horrible meal. And no refunds yippee! Save yourself the trip go to ichiban.
