I love this place. The first time I went, I was specifically craving Madeleines and couldn't make them cause I didn't have the pan. And searched the web for it and found this cute Lil place.Chefs kiss ?‍? the atmosphere first of is so relaxing, a cute café spot. The service was better!!! I bought my Madeleines and a couple of other treats, and at the time, it was almost closing time, and the nice lady gave me a bit extra. How precious. I went back again, randomly this time. Well, I was craving sweets and was in the area, and this time it was closing time a the gentleman gave extra of Madeleines again. It's always so sweet this place. ❣️❣️Parking: There's a spot far parking, but it's up to chance.. it holds about 5-7 cars.Kid-friendliness: Outside cafés area, open space for kids to run around.

I can comfortably say that this is the best bakery I've ever been to, and I live down the street so I've been here... a lot. I've been to bakeries in San Francisco, London, New York, Paris... nope. This one is the best. The croissants are beautiful and perfect, light and fluffy, an absolute delight every time. Morning buns are soft and sticky and citrusy. Scones are crumbly with crunchy edges and soft moist insides. And the people working there are, without exception, so friendly and kind, even when they're really busy. This is the place we bring out-of-towners when we want to show them how great Pittsburgh is!

Sure other places in town also make tasty croissants and pastries, but none of them are nearly as beautiful.

Situated as a gem within Pittsburgh, Madeleine Bakery and Bistro offers a transcendent experience akin to a stroll through a Parisian arrondissement. The mastery displayed in their French pastries is nothing short of extraordinary. The chocolate croissants delicately balance buttery, flaky layers with a rich, dark chocolate, while the chocolate bouchons deliver an indulgent revelation. Their morning buns are a delightful symphony of flavors, setting the perfect tone for the day. Without a doubt, Madeleine Bakery and Bistro's offerings are nothing short of breathtaking, consistently delivering an exceptional culinary experience."

Our GPS had a bit of a hard time with this place, but we just followed the crowd of people. Lol. The staff was very nice and helpful. The croissants were amazing as well as the cookies. We have to go back again to try more of their amazing baked goods. A great experience.

Baked things are truly amazing and up to our high standards of a French family (try pain au Swiss!) Coffee is strong but good. No seating inside, in summer they have exactly three tiny bistro tables outside in front of the cafe: convenient, but there are always people waiting for you to have their breakfast, so I cannot say it’s relaxing :)

This is a cute small French bakery. They have a nice selection of baked goods to choose from and have some sandwich options as well. I tried their macaroon, bee sting and croissant. All of them were delectable. The service was also good. I made sure to go as soon as they opened to avoid any traffic or long line. I will absolutely be back.
