Hidden gem. Most people would not be in a hurry to dine in a department store, but this place is quite a delight. From the welcoming hostess to the waiter that was on top of everything - this was a great experience. Now let's talk food - delicious!!! Definitely pleasantly surprised! The lamb chops were done perfectly. The skirt steak was flavorful. The lemon chicken gnocchi was delightful. We will be back!

Wife and I used to go to the restaurants in the columbus circle flagship store when we lived in NYC. We loved eating there.We came to Nordstrom here at Ross Park and noticed they had a cafe. We immediately decided to have dinner here, and it was a great experience.Great staff, great food. Hidden gem.

I haven't been here since before the pandemic started but it used to be a favorite lunch spot. I finally made it here yesterday and was very pleased to find out nothing had changed (prices went up a little but that's to be expected). Everything was just as I remembered it!

The menu at The Marketplace Cafe offers both shoppers favorites and chef specials. The menu includes appetizers, entrees, desserts, and specials. On my last visit, my server Nick was very friendly and very funny. I ordered the chicken pasta rossa special and Chef Ashley added just the right amount of heat to the sauce. Nick suggested a very nice Pinot Noir to go with the special. And to my surprise, I won a gift bag from Nordstrom and Barilla Pasta for ordering the pasta special from Chef Ashley. So although it was a late lunch that day, it was definitely worth the wait. The Marketplace Cafe is a relaxing spot in a quiet corner of the upper level and a world away from the designer runway outfits offered to the fabulous fashionistas shopping in all the women's departments on the upper level of Nordstrom.

Excellent entrees of wild shrimp and spaghetti in a fresh tomato sauce. Lovely green salad with polenta croutons. Shrimp soup fresh and delicious. Outstanding bread pudding uniquely displayed with fresh raspberries. The Pinot noir from Oregon was excellent. No heartburn.

Food value great. Great service, the staff offer superior help and suggestions on from entree to desserts. Only drawback, now under construction. Hopefully over soon for holiday season!

We found this hidden gem accidentally, but we are glad that we decided to try it. The staff is super nice and the food is great. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and helped make the experience pleasurable. We had the French dip sandwich and a cheeseburger. They were both excellent. The burger was done perfectly which is almost unheard of these days. Everyone gives you well done no matter how you want it. The fries that came with our sandwiches were also ⁴excellent.Overall, it was a great dining experience.

The Marketplace Cafe is a great break from the bustle & crowd of Ross Park Mall. It reminds me of a cafe in a big city. Martha is a great Server, friendly & leaves you alone. The strawberry Sangria was delicious. Thank you!
Lindsay was my server she was very pleasant and helpful. She definitely defines “service with a smile.” Also she made a couple very good recommendations with the ginger peach tea and the chefs special blackened salmon cesar salad. Both were very delicious. She also sold me on a lemon meringue cookie that I had to take home because I was satisfied from my meal. I’d definitely eat at the marketplace cafe again especially if they have more servers like Lindsay!

The woman who seated us had a very arrogant way about her and I think it absolutely killed her to say enjoy your meals to us. The food abd service is great here. Very consistent. It's a nice place to go after shopping!

Fantastic. Have been going to Nordstrom since it opened, but never thought to eat in the Cafe. Exceeded our expectations. Will probably be the ONLY place we eat at the mall from now on. We rarely eat out due to allergies, and they were BEYOND accommodating. Loved our waiter.

I ordered the cauliflower with hummus, olives and feta. It was delicious although I think it should be served with some type of cracker and a little more hummus. Tomato soup was excellent!!!

Great ambiance, quiet and comfortable, service was very good, but the start of the night is the meal. Highly recommend the tomato and burrata salad, it's fresh and delicious. The chicken sandwich is unlike any other, crunchy and moist and the pimento cheese is superb.
