There is a good view of the corner from here if you like people watching, but other than that, move on. The sashimi I was served was not fresh. When biting into the salmon, the ice crystals and salmon mix were unexpectedly unappetizing. Also, it was served on sushi rice. Who serves sashimi with rice? There are very few drink options, nothing hot. So overall, it's definitely not my top pick for sashimi.Wheelchair accessibility: None

The sushi wasn't bad. It seemed fresh and well made. I couldn't enjoy much of it because it was doused in sauce that was not listed on the menu. Order, pay, and pick up at the sushi bar when you walk in. Like most spots in this area, they have self serve seating upstairs. It's basically take out with open seating. The seating area was not cleaned at all. Dirty tables, overflowing trash. But honestly, it's kind of the norm in several other spots we tried near UPMC Presby. Overall, probably okay for take out and if you ask them to hold the sauce

Best land-locked sushi I've ever had. The city of Pittsburgh wouldn't be the same without this place. Quiet and cozy

Okay but Atarashi next door is better. We tried Boston roll, California roll, miso soup, and ginger salad. Salad not super fresh. Sushi portion small.

I’m a Pitt student and Mount Everest is by far one of my most favorite places to eat in Oakland. Every single time I go in, I am greeted with such kindness and spectacular service. The employees are truly lovely humans and they make the BEST sushi I’ve ever had. Thank you Mount Everest!

The food was fine. Run of the mill sushi and poke bowl. We liked them and would eat them again but nothing special. The place is a hole in the wall and don’t plan to eat there. The tables are upstairs and the room smells like an open sewer. I think the bathroom must have been backed up for days. We left and ate in the car.

Ordered the combo roll and ended up getting two separate rolls for full price. Not bad otherwise. Please make sure employees are informed about combo rolls

This place has some really good poke bowls and sushi for a great price. The portions are worth the price! The service is fast and they do have seating upstairs.

Mount Everest sushi had Fresh tasting fish in Pittsburgh south Oakland I wouldn't go there to eat since it's a small area inside but take out is wonderful but definitely order ahead

I got the salmon poke bowl and it was delish! It was ready in a couple of minutes and they give you a good amount of toppings. I do wish it was a little customizable, but I still really enjoyed it. The presentation was also super cute! The salmon tasted super fresh as well.

The sushi is fresh, delicious & generous. Staff is friendly. I highly recommend the Monster Roll, it was amazing.
