We were told this place was a "must" for breakfast. Be prepared for a lot of customers. We were put on a waitlist before entering. The waitress was great. The food took a long time to arrive, but it was good.

Cute little place for breakfast and lunch. I had the spinach and feta omelet and it was very tasty. Pancakes are huge and the Califonia French toast is yummy.

This place was great! We were there to visit Pitt and most of the food in the area is quick service food that students like. This was one of the only restaurant choices for breakfast. Nothing fancy -typical diner food. Food was really good and service was super friendly. I liked how the servers all worked together so someone was always checking on you. Potatoes, pancakes, waffles and coffee were all wonderful. It was walkable to our hotel and the university so I don't know what parking would be like if you tried to drive. Price was good. Highly recommend.

Mid. Don't care for pancakes - but I feel like they're an acquired taste that someone somewhere is looking desperately for. So give it a try. I would probably not vote against it as a place to go for breakfast, but not vote for it. Much better places around that are cheaper and have better hours. If you're looking to go to Pamela's because you heard it's an authentic pgh restaurant, oakland is not the one.

Old school diner portions worth the price. Very popular. Don't expect to spread your elbows.

Hands down the best pancakes in any city you could visit. I have had pancakes at many restaurants up and down the east coast as it is my favorite breakfast staple in every major city NYC, DC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Charleston, etc. and simply none come close. I always make time to stop at Pamela's when I am in Pittsburgh. Oakland location was nice, clean, and service staff was amazing!

Excellent food, the pancakes are legendary. Service is always good too. There's usually a short wait for a table as it's very popular but often not too long.

Very welcoming and delicious food. The atmosphere was a throwback enjoyment. Be prepared for a wait time, but it's well worth it.

Had to visit this spot as I was told this is one of the best brunches in Pittsburgh. Food was pretty decent here. I got their speciality banana walnut hotcake and the corned beef hash. The crepe for the hotcake was thin and crispy on the edges. I liked the portion was big and it was not too sweet. The corned beef hash, on the other hand, was a bit bland in my opinion. I liked dipping it in a sunny side up egg, though. The wheat bread that it came with was also nicely toasted and buttered. There was a long waitlist when we dined here which was Sunday at noon, but the line moved fast. Service was slightly slow as we waited for around 40 minutes after ordering to get our food.

Food is simple and very delicious. The restaurant has a cool, nostalgic, vibe to it. The service is very kind. They're working hard, and I see that they run very efficiently. Especially considering the high volume of customers in a , what I would call, smallish restaurant. The service, top notch. They're extremely kind of customers and to each other. The staff is mainly why we keep coming back! And of course the food too !!
