This is with a heavy heart that I must write this review. I had planned to go out all week. I am not wealthy, I need to work and save to get here. The apps were... correct. The baguette was excellent and the brie was fine, the escargot was good. I had the lamb and my wife had the chicken confit. For dessert I had a tart and she had a crepe suzette. All told our bill was 250, and of course I had to tip well because our server was amazing (best part tbh). Now the problems: the crepe was the most bland crepe I have ever tasted in my life, no exaggeration. The portions were small for what they were. The lamb left me hungry and wanting. The wines were too expensive by the glass to even entertain, besides my one white (expertly recommended to me by our stellar waiter). The main courses were good, however nothing stood out to me as superb. For the money, I want to be floored, not 'hmm, this is a nice meal'. Not a single thing was remarkable, except perhaps the bread (yes) or the salads dijon vinegrette (best salad dressing I have ever had). So, it's sad I have to give this four stars. Nothing is wrong with the restaurant except the prices and the portions. It's not an exquisite tasting menu. It's just small portion food cooked well. For 250, I will never go again and do not recommend anyone else do _unless_ you are exceptionally wealthy and have an affinity for French cuisine. The owner even checked in on me. So it's rough for me to give this any less than the best rating. But honestly, I jot only think I overpaid but completely regret going. By that token I should give it a two or three, but the technical execution and service are far too good for that. So, four stars.

If you sort by negative reviews you'll see many with similar experiences to mine. The way the owner responds to those reviews is exactly how he acts in person.Made an OpenTable reservation for 8pm. Showed up at 8, could barely get in the door from all the other people with reservations waiting. The owner was there telling everyone that people with reservations need to wait and that "this is how it is in Paris". (An employee muttering "but this isn't paris" was the lone bright spot). They clearly had overbooked and told everyone to get in line. There were at least 6 other couples ahead of us for the small restaurant. We left to eat somewhere else. The kicker though, and why I felt obligated to write a review, is that the owner called me later wondering where we were. I told him we were there and left because of the wait. I then had an email from OpenTable this morning saying we didn't make our reservation even though he knew we were there at 8. The OpenTable no-show policy the restaurant set up is to charge $30 per person.

Do not go on Valentine’s Day. UPDATE: review is not fake. My husband CALLED and made a reservation, so your open table diatribe is not true. It did not mention anywhere it was a prix fixe menu/whichever staff member answered the phone did not mention it was a prix fixe menu- which is kind of a big deal- especially when you are charging $140/person without an included drink pairing. The service was slow and it was over crowded- a complete pump and dump- get as many people in and out with your select few options and inflated prices. I understand you wanting to defend your business but I am entitled to share the opinion that Valentine’s Day is not the best day to go there as your full menu is not available. We were there for 48 minutes before even receiving our first course. The server clearly didn’t know anything about wine, not even how to properly serve it. I apologize if this offends you but I stand by my review. It's super cool that as a business owner you attack people who offer honest feedback about your business! You should definitely be proud of yourself.

The place is generally nice, very French of course. I was disappointed that the salad described as“GF Salade d'étédried cherries, sunflower seeds, carrot, yellow squash, farmer's cheese, fines herbes, French vinaigrette”had three or four thin slices of carrot, no squash or seeds, three dried cherries, a lot of greens though. It was tasty but it really needs all the listed ingredients in decent amounts.A shame as the ambience was good and the food looked good on arrival.Vegetarian options: Not much to speak of, no entrees are vegetarian but there is salad and the crepes can be done in a vegetarian style.

Diner

I've dined at Paris 66 for years. I keep coming back because it's so good. This most recent experience was not up to previous standards. The quiche I ordered was burnt - crust and top layer. While the inside was tasty, it was out of character for the cook that day to present a burnt dish. I ate what I could as I don't like to waste food, but will think twice about lunching there again. I'm surprised I was served an obviously burnt dish. This would not have happened prior to Covid.

We love Paris 66 and have come 3-4 times for dinner- we moved and are about an hour away now, but finally made it out to try out Sunday Brunch. Everything was delicious- from the salmon croissant and croque monsieur, to our main dishes of the breakfast crepe and Paris 66 omelette. Even the coffee was delicious! Our server Chris was excellent. This place will always hold a special place in our heart.

Entrees took forever to come out. Filet was cooked perfectly, but it wasn't hot. Which was disappointing. And sorry to say, Steak tartar was lacking in flavor. The quality of the beef was excellent, but it seemed like they forgot many ingredients. The side if asparagus made me think they'd run out. Literally 7 tiny, thin pieces in the late. But at least the Escargot was excellent. Sadly, now that I've been, I likely won't be going back. ?

Went there for restaurant week. My wife and I were there for restaurant week last year also. Food was very good. I had the escargot and salmon and my wife had the salad and salmon. Both were prepared the right way. We also had the mussels. Roquefort which were superb. Dessert was creme brulee.Service was good but slow, but likely due to the number of people who were there for the same reason.Definitely worth going to.
