Primanti Bros is what Pittsburgh is known for. It is the Philly cheesesteak of Pittsburgh. They are known for their sandwiches, which come with French fries within them. They have multiple locations throughout the city, but we chose to go to the one at strip district as it is the original first ever location. Being a weekend, there was a long queue, but the queue moved fast, and we were seated within 15 minutes. I got the original Pitts burger while my friend got the cajun chicken sandwich. Mine tasted great, but my friend’s chicken was quite dry and chewy. While the sandwich was actually quite good, I am not sure if I will be coming back any time soon. I guess I just like my fries to be on the side and not inside the sandwich.

Whenever I'm on road trips and will be passing near Pittsburgh, Primanti Bros is the place that always comes to mind for a quick lunch or dinner. Service is quick and has a casual atmosphere that let's you rest from your road trip or need a break from driving.

The place was packed friday afternoon. Just wanted some t shirts and one of the waitresses was really kind and was able to ring me out. The place looked fantastic.
