One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time!Accommodated a party of 17 for our family & service was impeccable. The food was excellent as well for everyone! It was on the more expensive side, as meals seemed to be in the $30-45 range, but portions were a good size and execution was perfect.I would much rather go out 1/2 as much and have this level of food & service, but that's me.*Note that they valet all the cars, even though the lot is private & right next to the restaurant. Not a problem, just maybe not necessary IMHO.

The food is excellent, the restaurant is clean and pleasant to be in. The front of house staff could’ve been a bit more attentive at the table but overall a great lunch

The last time I was at Ricos was 30 years ago and remember a very good experience. From the valet to the meal this place is stuck in the 80s .Valet for a lot that is huge and 10 steps away. Maybe on the weekend it might be needed but kinda weird.Staff was friendly. Server was adequate.Food was overpriced for bland and unremarkable food. I can name 5 much better Italian restaraunts for half the price within a 10 mile radius. And chaging extra for a side salad with a pasta meal.....really?

David, along with the staff at Rico’s are wonderful. The food was delicious and their attention to detail was much appreciated. We will be back for sure. Thanks for making the luncheon following my mom’s funeral perfect in every way.

First time visiting this place and they set the tone right away with the atmosphere. Fantastic service paired with the best Authentic Italian you can get in Pittsburgh. If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out!

We went for my husband's 50th birthday dinner. He ordered the Veal Parmesan and I ordered the Roquefort Filet Mignon. We ended up sharing our meals because both were AMAZING! The meat on both meals was was so tender we could cut them with a fork. Stellar service and spectacular food. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back.On a side note; For the customers complaining about the automatic 20% gratituity added to the separate checks, obviously you were never in the service industry. You may think "What's the big deal separating checks?", IT IS A BIG DEAL! Especially for the "difficult" customers (and if you think that you are not difficult, hate to break it to you, YOU ARE for asking for separate checks!). Let's say you have 8 people in your party, there is ALWAYS 1-3 guest at that table who look around the table and think to themselves that all they need to do is leave a "just couple of dollars will be enough because everyone will be enough tips" No, IT WILL NOT BE ENOUGH!Let me break it down for you;Let's say the party of 8 spends the average $50 per person that will equal out to $400.Then they are automatically charged the 20% gratituity.400.00 × .20 = $80So from that $80 tip the server has to pay 8% taxes on thier FOOD SALES NOT THEIR TIPS.That means 8% of $400 is $32So now that $80 tip turns into $48.Still not a bad tip, right? Now that the server as to "tip out" the busser, the food runners and the bartender. (Usually the average tip out is 3% of your FOOD SALES).3% of $400 is $12. Now that $48 decent tip becomes $36.So if you take the $36 tip after taxes and tip out, divided by number of customers (8) 36÷8=4.5.So this means the server is only getting a $4.50 per person gratituity instead of the $10 per person (Automatic 20%) gratituity the table thinks they're getting.DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE AUTOMATIC 20% added to the check because if it wasn't I assure you that $36 tip would be a lot less.*A servers pay rate is $2.83 per hourIf you disagree about this post then PLEASE let me know. As a person who spent 20+ years as a server and bartender all over the city of Pittsburgh, I would LOVE to discuss your disagreement with you.

People were nice and welcoming. But the food is just really bad. Even if you omit the blatant lack of salt and the clearly frozen vegetables, the fact that everyone's dish was of a pale gray-ish color is simply not worth the price.

When you pull in its valet parking only! If you don't want to pay for valet there are some parking spots at the bottom of the hill then you have to walk up. If you want to split your check they automatically charge a 20% fee! If you order a meal and split it they charge an extra $7.00. There are no free refills on pop. Our waitress was not very friendly. It seemed every time we asked a question we annoyed her. She kicked my husband's foot at least 3 times. He asked for a beer and she never came back with a beer menu or what kind of beer they offered. We ordered the fried zucchini ribbons to start. They were good. I liked them with ranch. I got the New York strip. I enjoyed it. Mushrooms came with the meal. They didn't have much flavor. My husband got the scallops. He was impressed with the amount and the flavor of the scallops. We ended the night with teramisu. It was delicious. The restaurant is huge. They have private rooms. I did enjoy this restaurant, but it seemed like everything had an extra fee.Parking: Valet parking only

Excellent meal. Service was friendly and attentive. Rico came by to check personally. Attended a group function of about 40. All food came out well and timed perfect.

I recently visited for dinner with reservation for 13 people for a 90th birthday party. When we arrived, the hostess was very cold, aloof and brusque. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated and one person in our party had trouble standing with a walker and she told us to move to the side so we can let other people get in. Very horrible impression upon arrival to say the least. The food was mediocre at best, with some dishes better than others. Beyond overpriced for the quality of the food.
