Wonderful Lebanese Mediterranean food. Delightful kind owner. Not chic/slick - don’t worry it is excellent. Baklava and tabhouli are marvelous.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian easy choices, also lactose free. And meat and pita and bulgur wheat for Leto lovers

Great little spot with great selection. First time we got a little bit of everything. Falafel salad and gyro were great. Hummus, baba ganoush, stuffed grape leaves, chickpea salad, and a few others from the cooler were great. Got a dozen baklava, ate half the first day.

I knew I should have ordered two gyros to go! I got home and ate the delicious delicacy and all i kept thinking is “ i should have gotten one another one for dinner tonight”The guy who served me was kind and I appreciate him listening to my story about my Lebanese hubby.I recommend Salims for authentic food and there were groceries.. but I didnt have time to shop ( everything looked delicious)So get a piece of spinach and feta pie!

Salim's is a gem of a store/restaurant, as is Salim himself. Absolutely love his perfectly dressed and seasoned tabouleh, babaganouge and sleek, and his gyros have made many a dinner table for me. I pretty much always do take-out, but I also enjoyed a pleasant lunch there once with my father, whom I'd just taken to a dentist across the street. (There are only a few tables, but rarely are any occupied.) He also sells wonderful, wild cucumber pickles (McIlhany), pastries such as baklava, and myriad other imported items. And I always find a parking space right in front.

Excellent authentic Middle Eastern food. So tasty! I was visiting from Canada and saw reviews of this place. Reached there almost when they were closing. It was very kind of them to let me sit & eat there since I was starving and thoroughly enjoyed the meal!

Really lovely find! A gem of a store. We bought a gyro and a falafel pita. They were delicious and all of the ingredients were high quality. Also purchased some baba ganoush and it's the best baba ganuoush I've ever had.Really looking forward to trying the baklava we picked up.The prices were extremely reasonable and because of that, the next time I need Tahini this is where I'll be going. The store has a nice selection of spices and other cooking ingredients. The service was cordial and welcoming and I'll definitely be back!

Really good food, I've had the hummus, the falafel, and the baklava all of which were great, the best is if there is lamb being made fresh for the gyros.Vegetarian options: Falafel and Spinach/Feta pie are great picks.

I’ve been coming here for close to 20 years! The falafel sandwich is great for a quick lunch, and it’s hard to leave without some deli and grocery items for home. They have spices that are hard to find other places, as well as cheeses and frozen items. Prices are very good and the service is always delightful. I recently took a few dozen pies to a family lunch and everyone loved them!

I come here both for the sandwiches and for the deli section - can't get better baba ghanoush anywhere in the Burgh. I'm a bit of a sucker for it and usually get about $60 of deli foods to take care of lunch for the next week and a half. Great selection of spices including some rarities (ground ginger, sumac, falafel spices...) Salim himself is always a friendly face and it's good to see him doing well.Vegetarian options: Lots of middle eastern veg favorites and cold salads. The falafel are quite nice, and the muhammara and sleek are something special. Great hummus and excellent baba ghanoush.Parking: Small parking lot around Enfield St. around the corner. Most people walk here or drop by from the bus stop, so there's always parking there.

The gyro sandwich was very basic with lettuce tomato, meat. Nothing tasted fresh. I felt there was not much flavor. Thr pies and spanikopita were not crispy and were flaccid. Spanikopita seemed to use heavy oil with no cheese. I think Salim's could improve these with crispy pies, fresh ingredients, more interesting flavors. They may consider toasted bread. Desserts looked good but I didn't try any. 3 stars for atmosphere because the bathroom was dark and dirty. The store has a nice atmosphere and a good selection.

The food is always fresh and you'll find hard to find items in his grocery section. Love the meat and spinach pies, everything is good.
