I moved back to Pittsburgh in August and just had a chance to check out Silk Road. Was my absolute favorite Chinese food in the city when I lived here growing up. Unfortunately they must’ve gone completely downhill. My fiancée ordered cashew chicken and essentially got what looks like a boiled chicken veggie soup with cashews added in. I got the general tso shrimp and scallops. There were four shrimp and two scallops and no flavor, also looked like a soup, so watery the breading was off all the meat. Also, the chicken lo mein was mushy with no flavor and the crab rangoon had the smallest amount in it, was all the outer shell. Only reason 2 stars is because the egg roll and homemade spicy mustard were good. It’s unfortunate because I loved this place, but not worth the $80 at all. Won’t be back unless change is made.

Don't judge the book by its cover. This restaurant looks odd from outside, but as you enter, it's very welcoming. The ambiance and food are really nice. I definitely recommend it.Kid-friendliness: Shrimp steamed dumplings were good for kids , and customized chicken/ shrimp lomein can be ordered with less spice and oil.

We had dinner last night to celebrate my grandsons 18th birthday. We had a great experience with the 10 of us seated together. They went out of their way to help make all of us feel welcome. I did make reservations and the service was excellent. Thanks to all of you who helped us celebrate!

The sushi is phenomenal. The hibachi is ok. But I'll definitely go back for the sushi.
