I look forward to going to the office because I know exactly where I’m going for lunch. The interior is sparse, the food is amazing. Great selection every day. Owners super friendly.

The food was so good. The lady that runs the joint was super friendly and helpful. With new menus every day, I will be a frequent flyer.

Excellent lunch spot for Indian food! Friendly staff that can explain clearly the menu including accurately depicting spice level. I had their Chicken biryani lunch special and it came in the perfect portion size along with the vegetable side (green beans). Price was very good as well as a bonus! Clean and quiet, highly recommend for a casual lunch in Pittsburgh

Not goodChapathi/Roti was very cold, not served hot.Curries and Rice are okay.Even water is not provided. When I said to the lady that chapathi is very cold … she didn’t even say anything, not even sorry. She just remained silent. Arrogant lady.

Quick, tasty, economical. I've been a patron off and on for years (old triangle building location too) and I've never been disappointed. I appreciate the honest, no frills approach to serving a hot, affordable, good tasting lunch.

Food was good, could have a bigger portion though. Price is average. Not a toddler/kid friendly kind just in our experience. Seating is limited plus street

Sree's isn't fashionable, trendy, high-concept, or open for dinner. But what it IS is delicious and comforting. You get fragrant, flavorful, unpretentious home cooking served up in hefty portions, and it's an excellent value too.I had vegetable biryani with masala potatoes and yogurt salad, and it was exactly what I needed on a chilly fall day. I'm genuinely sad I'm not in town longer to dine here more.Recommended without hesitation or reservation!Vegetarian options: They offer a vegetarian and a meat option each day.

Amazing food. Awesome decor and inspiring owner, Vaidehi. Food was good: not too much of oil, healthy vegetables cooked home style. No colors, msg or anything else. Decor: Indian decor with amazing portraits. What is super inspiring is that Vaidehi cooks the food herself. She told me how she and her husband, Sree, started the business and she touched and cooked food for her customers for decades. Amazing, inspiring and extraordinary. I would strongly recommend. May her well lived life and good food inspire many people.

I try to hit this up whenever I'm doing a weekday downtown walkabout. If I worked downtown I would be a much more frequent guest! It's very affordable, very portable and great flavors for anyone who loves Indian food. Usually I takeout and eat in on the bench by the river about a block away. When I've had company with me, we've eaten in but really this atmosphere is pretty sterile-- this is mainly a takeout place. If you're driving, the parking is pretty nonexistent most of the time but there are places you can pull over for a minute and service is fast if you feel lucky and don't have someone to stay with the car. Really the only downside is that-- as of this writing anyway-- Sree's is only open for weekday lunch.

Food taste stale, and old. It's not worth $10. Every dish tastes and looks alike . They hand you half tortilla instead of a chapati or Naan , which is what is part of Indian meal , but not at this place.
