Maybe as an undergrad I would like this bar, but as an adult...this is not it. The floor was covered in toilet paper that stuck to your shoes (a weird intentional choice?), the music was super loud, & the lights were completely dark despite going during the day. A lot of the crowd was absolutely hammered & looking to start fights. None of that feels like a place I want to go to - especially since they charge a cover fee. The only positive was that the bartenders were very attentive to getting orders in & out even though they were busy, and they had a great selection of high noon drinks. Food: N/A Drinks: B Service: B Ambiance: D-

Scammers. Said cover for NYE was 10. Never said anywhere it was going to go up or go to 40. Then 5 minutes before hall drop they wouldn't let my friends and I in without paying 40 each. I'm sure they just pocketed the rest. What a scam. Wouldn't go back

Hello, I want to write a few things here. It bothered me a lot. I hope I don't want anyone else to go through the same thing. I always used to pay in cash. Towards the end of this evening, I ran out of money and I made a purchase from my credit card. I wanted a whiskey and cola mix and he charged me $370 for a glass. We talked to him. I'm not drunk, I asked him why did you withdraw such money, he said, "You made a bet" and that's ridiculous, I'm not rich enough to bet $365 on a $5 drink glass, I hope no one else experiences the same thing, warn your waiters, they are stealing.

Great bar for a safe experience that reminds you of high school homecoming in the upper level. Oddballs has the best music.

There are better places to go out in South Side and even Carson. This establishment is racist and sexist. As a female, who usually goes with other female friends, we felt objectified by a particular bouncer and other security guards (to my surprise the particular one I am referring to, already has a picture and review on this page). Beyond that, my friend was discriminated against and called "angry/argumentative" when just communicating what was wrong. The only reason I point this out is that some of my other friends and I were more argumentative, but she was the only one screamed at. So in summary they are racist, just do not go there.

I went to this club happy as ever. One mistake and all of a sudden I am enemy number one. I said that I was confused that I could not leave out the back door. When I did it before no one said it wasn't allowed so I never knew. When this happened I stated my confusion with the bouncer to which he said that arguing would only make things worse. This is when I got uncomfortable because I didn't argue with this bouncer. I only stated my confusion with no goal for re-entry. I hope that this club learns to clarify all rules with the people who enter.

I hate leaving reviews to start. I'm a alcoholic I can drink a lot before blacking out. I had one shot one long island and completely forgot everything and I didn't drink all day prior to this because I was at work and my girl wanted to go dancing. I'm pretty sure we both got drugged. She can't remember anything either. But she vaguely remember whispering in her ears they don't want her bf here

Girls shouldn't leave their drinks unattended. This is the trashiest party place I've ever seen. Just the worst crowd imaginable.

Bouncer tried taking my beer (my first beer of the night) thought i was going outside when i wasnt even near the door. The bouncers need an attitude change. Also they tried kicking me out for no reason at all.

I’m black and moved here from Georgia months ago and still have a Georgia ID, old guy at the door refused to accept it repeating “I’m not letting her in” because ‘it looked fake’ meanwhile I’m 24 and he had a scanner in hand that he refused to even use after eye balling mine for way longer than the white friends in my group - after reading similar racially discriminatory Google reviews I see why
Racist bouncer, I hope you're not black and trying to use a non-traditional form of ID at a bar crawl! I've seen white people all day at the bar crawl using passports, pictures of IDs, even college IDs to get in but I had a legal Georgia ID bc I just moved here and the dumb*ss at the door said it was fake without even scanning it but tried to let all my white friends in before AND after me including my boyfriend who also has an out of state ID! Hope he's fired or this place gets shut down, don't care which is first

i'm sure by now everybody knows how the flats operates, but figured i'd share a personal experience. everybody knows half if not more of the bouncers are racist, but even if you're caucasian, you being a male is enough reason for them to bust your balls. got told by a bouncer "i have to search your bag". (crossbody bag i wear everywhere, no biggie) after checking the one compartment bag, he looks at me and says "don't come back with it again" i also get a no bag policy, so no biggie. a girl friend of mine walked up being me, opened her purse for the bouncer, (which had about 10 pockets and zippers) just for him to look at her distraught, like he didn't just make a huge deal about my bag. he smiled at her and said "you're good! have a great night" Disgusting staff here, the only respectable one i've encountered is the gentlemen always in the bathroom

Been here a few times during the bar crawls. I enjoy the music, the vibe, the drink, and the staff is also fun. What else can you say? If you are looking for a good, fun time, then you you should drop on by. I feel like that rhymed, but the point still stands. If I go to the next bar crawl I anticipate I'll drop by. I've yet to be disappointed with this place.
