This place had soooo much potential to be great and a staple in our takeout rotation. Simple in concept, easy online ordering, awesome veggie options, quick service, good location... But it went downhill so quick. The staff seems to be on constant rotation and the hours aren't great. When they are open, they are often OUT OF MEATBALLS. How does a meatball joint run out of meatballs? Sure, I could see it happening maybe once, but it's happened THREE times just in my experiences. It seems unorganized, someone's always running from the restaurant next door trying to replenish the supply. I recently stopped in to find out they no longer offer the veggie meatballs, even though they are still listed on their digital menu. When I let them know removing that item meant I wouldn't be back the staff laughed and said they probably wouldn't be around much longer. I'd love for this place to make the needed changes to stick around! If they can become more reliable it would truly be a great fit for south side.

Just tried the vodka sauce and it was amazing. The banana peppers were perfect. Had an issue with my last order and they were more than happy to take care of it. I would recommend to any meatball lover to try it out.

there's a female worker sammi who hasn't had enough of meatballs clearly and went after my husband. You're trash.

The staff were decent, nice, young people. The food itself was mediocre.I got the 4-meatball sub with marinara, beef meatballs, cheese, and fresh basil. The bread was the best part, it was soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. Unfortunately, the marinara was watery and bland, and soaked into the bread, creating a soggy, sour sponge. The meatballs were ok. They were under-spiced and under-salted, just carrying that classic 'cooked ground beef' flavor, but less appetizing than usual... maybe the meat was a bit old? But definitely under-seasoned.The cheese was nice and stretchy, and the basil was fresh. But overall, the sandwich was not something I'd return for. I also got a vegetarian meatball to try, and it was just... beany. I know it's made of white beans, but again, kind of bland, lacking umami.I hate to say this, but I'd go to Subway instead for the same thing, it has a lot more flavor despite having a lower freshness and quality of ingredients.Nothing wrong with the staff, they were great... the food is not worth coming back for, though.

Just got a meatball sub for lunch. It was very good and also filling. The staff were very nice and recommended what to try. I would definitely eat here again.

We couldn't even try food. Lady working was clueless. Kept telling us to wait while she was on the phone. After 10 minutes we walked out.

The marinara sauce was so spicy I couldn't even eat it!

The first time here wasn’t the greatest. I didn’t feel welcome and the worker didn’t seem like they wanted to be there. They weren’t knowledgeable about the menu, that or they just didn’t care. I am not a big fan of the mushroom sauce. It was very watery and lack of flavor. The Red sauce had some flavor but not much, Way better than the mushroom sauce. I don’t recommend buying the breadsticks because it is very Doughy, had no taste at all and I don’t think it was cooked enough. The wedding soup is more broth than anything else. But the flavor was there. The beef meatballs have good texture and flavor by themselves. I would’ve given them another star if I was just judging meatballs. If there’s a next time I will just be getting a meatball sub.

Flavorful balls and different ways to style them. My fav way is alone or or a hoagie.

Tried this place for the first time since the old Doce moved from here.... Was not disappointed! You choose what meatball you'd like, (Chx, beef, pork or veggie), sauce, and type of cheese/toppings, and if you want a sandwich or pasta... fair pricing for homemade food! Chicken meatballs with Marsala sauce were to die for! I'll def be back again!
