Was craving some pierogies in a casual lunch atmosphere and The Yard hit the spot. I went mid-afternoon, like I usually do. The establishment was mostly empty. Maybe 10 people or so, inside. Food was excellent--I had the always sunny in Philadelphia grilled cheese for $15.99 and I was very happy it came out looking great and even overflowing with meat and toppings! I'm always a sucker for waffle cut sweet potato fries, but they were a tad overdone, but I still at them anyways. I have zero idea why my 8 year old became obsessed with eating here. He said the bacon mac and cheese was really good. I think he secretly wanted to come back for brunch for the fried chicken and waffles. What drew me here was the smack yo mama grilled cheese and just the variety of grilled cheese sandwiches on the menu. Service was good, food was alright. Lots of options and a good place to take kids to eat.
