What is going on with tres Rios. Been 3 days in a row and they are closed with no sign ???

Used to be my favorite spot to go in Pittsburgh, made a point to go here any time I visited the city. Went last night 45 minutes or so before closing. The chicken for the tacos was super dry, like it was microwaved and the tortillas were placed flat on the plate not in the holders, so they just steamed themselves against the plate and were soggy. It tasted like I was chewing on hush puppies with dry cold chicken inside. I don't know if it's covid staffing issues or what, but it has definitely tainted my view of this place.

I enjoyed my experience! I ordered the pork belly tacos and they were delicious. Fast wait time and friendly staff! A little more on the pricey side, but they do have different specials you can take advantage of throughout the week. Will definitely be back!

We had a great experience at Tres Rios. The food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly, and we loved the decor! We had the duck tacos and chicken tacos and both were very good! The salsa verde was our favorite, smoky and very tasty!

Worth the bill 100%. Some of the best Mexican food we've had in Pittsburgh. Service was great, checked in often but not on top of us.

Great food, friendly service, and cool atmosphere. I had lunch here today and enjoyed mixed tacos. So yum! We will be back to try the margaritas.

Literally never come here. Our waitress, Dora, didn't even introduce herself and was the biggest b**** EVER. she was incredibly rude and dismissive and denied us drinks even though we are all 21. I ordered chicken tacos which she forgot to put in and then said that it was the kitchen's fault. She brought them out and laughed as she apologized for the late food. I accepted the chicken tacos and ate them as my friends already finished their food. She made us pay full price and the chicken was dry. She basically yelled at us when we asked her questions about the drinks and happy hour choices. She constantly came over to stare at us and then would run away as well. I highly recommend asking for a different waitress if you ever come here. Not worth it in my opinion.

Pretty good taco. Service was excellent. The street corn was ok at best. Very bland. It wasn't the topping just its supposed to be grilled according to the menu and you could definitely tell it was sitting in water cooked for a while as the corn itself had no flavor. It's also priced for the upscale crowd. Average $5 a taco is pretty high imo. I would definitely go again and try another dish.

Service and food was excellent. I met a friend during happy hour and we ended up sitting for quite a few hours and the service was polite and kind. And out food was fresh.

The things that we ordered -- fish tacos and shrimp ceviche -- were better than we expected them to be, as this was an impromptu visit. The condiment/sauces were very tasty and of fresh ingredients.

I came here with a friend after work, during happy hour, on a Tuesday. We both started with a margarita with the intent of having a few drinks and eating. The margaritas surely came without tequila and were just Mr. & Mrs. T Margarita Mix on ice. We decided to leave and go somewhere else that had better drinks. My friend remembered that they had been here a few years ago, but hadn't been back since because the drinks were a waste of money. The staff was however, very nice. I understand the unique economic situation many restaurants have gone through, the last 18 months, but that is all the more reason to create brand loyalty in your restaurant. Unfortunately, neither my friend or I will be returning.

Some days all you need some good Mexican food in the form of a burrito. It can make your forget about a lot of things going on in your head and around you. Three Rivers....err, Tres Rios, definitely delivers there. I have to say the inside of this place is bright and fun. Everywhere you look there was color and art. A very welcoming place. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Menus were of the QR variety, but I had looked this place up beforehand and already knew what I was getting. Dat burrito yo. The only hiccup I had with this place was the ordering process. I had ordered the Pollo Burrito. There were four of us and we each ordered something different. When the food started to come out of the kitchen they kept messing up what came to us. I kept having a shrimp burrito sat down in front of me. Not a big fan of shrimp, especially with an allergy to shrimp. Once they got it figured out, and having my burrito remade, we were on the right track. What was a huge hit, with just about everyone at the table was that 3R Salad that is served with the burrito. That salad had a nice kick to it. You can tell there were jalapenos in there and the mix or greens was delicious. When I finally did get the Pollo Burrito, one taste, and I was in love. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, the cilantro rice was great, black beans and corn, yes. All that wrapped inside a flour tortilla, and it held up with the huge amount of food inside. This burrito was so big that I had to take half of it home. Places like this make me miss living on the South Side. But only during the daylight hours.

I'm vegetarian so they didn't have many options but the sweet potato tacos were AMAZING! All the food was freshly made and tasted authentic. Friendly staff, good music, reasonable prices.
