We had Uncle Rick’s cater our Thanksgiving dinner this year and it was excelllent. The turkey, mac n cheese, and cornbread dressing was a huge hit! Not just the food, but the ordering process and service was smooth and friendly. Uncle Rick’s Smokehouse is AMAZING!

Can I just say that your food and service is slamming!!! Uncle Rick.....my husband and I stood in line yesterday at the Soul Food Fest in Market Square for about an hour.....You personally came through and thanked us for waiting.....You added that we wouldn't be disappointed!!! And my God,my God!! We weren't!!!! From the very first person who took our order,to the wonderfully spirited lady who gave us our sauces......

My favorite bbq joint in Lexington though I must disclose: I don't actually get bbq lol I've gotten the chicken tenders with honey mustard, hush puppies, green beans, smoked Mac and cheese, cheese burger, potato salad, and banana pudding before and all of it was so good! Service is friendly and fast which is always a plus.

I had a very poor experience in my trip here to Ricks Smokehouse, it began with just the seating. Our waitress seemed a bit bothered/annoyed and didn't shy from making it obvious to us. We had heard Ricks had some awesome BBQ Beef Ribs but it was a mistake due to some writing on a whiteboard that lists their daily specials from a friend who recommended it. Ended up getting the pork ribs and just in my opinion, they were just not that good. They use cut bbq sauce in place of real bbq sauce for items like ribs which was also disappointing. It was like placing some runny water on the already overcooked ribs. To top it off, ordered a side of ranch for my French frys since I am not a huge fan of ketchup and only came to find out at the register that there was a .50$ up charge. This is what particularly brings me to my opinion of this place and places like it, when there is an up charge it should always be explicitly stated rather than snuck in on the bill at the time of pay. Definitely put me in the mindset that I wouldn't ever consider coming back after such a terrible experience with the ill waitress, hidden charges and confusing advertising. Ps - the pintos are a bit runny as well for my likening, i ended up not eating them
