Restaurantji's Schwenksville guide: Where to find the ultimate Mexican flavors.
“I highly recommend El Limon to all of my friends. We order from the Skippack location for take-out the most and they're fast, friendly, and always on point! I wish they had more of a dining room there but the outside area seems nice during the summer months!“
“al pastor and birria tacos were so good! stopped by for taco tuesday with my friend and we were so impressed. the service was fast, the pastor was tender and flavorful, the birria was perfectly rich, and the tacos came with delicious roasted peppers and tortilla chips. honestly we were amazed that you can still get so much good food at such a good price around here. definitely stop by if you're around the collegeville area!!Kid-friendliness: there are some not kid-friendly items from the convenience store on display right near the ordering counter, so i would probably not take kids inside. food is great though!“
“This is a small place packed with delicious food and a very welcoming staff. We had the barbacoa torta and Birria tacos. We finished with the Flan. All so good. They also have non alcoholic cocktails. I had the spicy pineapple margarita. Oh so good. Don't walk, RUN to get their delicious offerings. Great presentation.“
“my first time stepping into this restaurant and the attentive service was just as GREAT as the delicious food i was servednot too many places render both great customer service and great food but this place does THANX TO ALEJANDRA CABRERA for making my visit welcoming ? i definitely will stop again and recommend this place hands down“
“Oh what a treat. I’ve been here 3x in 1.5 weeks. The best street tacos in this area. The shrimp, Birria, and Al Pastor tacos make you wanna rob your grandmother. The food comes out hot and fast. Consistently excellent. Can’t wait to come back.“
“Owner and staff are amazing people. When I walk in with my daughter to grab takeout they always offer some sort of treat for her. She can be picky, but they are determined to give her something she'll like! The food is incredible as well. I get the chicken burrito ahogado almost everytime! Definitely worth a shot if your considering something new to try. Prices are great as well.“
“Sadly, i have to edit th>s review. I do not know what has happened, but this business has changed, but not for better. It sux. I miss it!I love this little family owned business. El Burrito is the best Mexican food in Phoenixville in my opinion. They have great Tamales, which are a personal favorite. They make their food fresh and from scratch. The salsa Verde is perfection, and when in season, they offer homemade Jamaica, a slightly sweetened, refreshing, hibiscus tea that is hard to find east of the Rockies.“
“Update 04-Apr-24: Katrina was our server, plus we got to see Melissa again. Was really great food and the drinks were great too. Easy to get to and great Mexican ambiance! Katrina and Melissa - you guys are the BEST!We go here often. Excellent place to eat and enjoy an adult beverage! Nicole was great the last few visits. Melissa has been awesome, too.Go visit.“
“My husband got the pork with rice and salad and I'll myself got steak stew with rice and beans and avocado. The serving was plenty enough to fill you and take her. The taste was very good. I would recommend anyone to come and taste there's food. Besides the food this place is so beautiful scenery. I love it, and love the five it has like the music and people being happy“
“I'm not from this town! But I love to eat, I had to check this little spot filled with bilingual woman who make their own cream for tacos n such! I liked it ? I have to go back AGAIN to make a fo'sure decision here's a little pic of what I ate 3 ? tacos and beans. My friend had a chicken sandwich ? “
“As a Mexican American from Southern California living in the Philadelphia area, it is difficult to find good authentic Mexican food and groceries. This place has both. It's obvious from the minute you see it, smell it, and take a few steps in the door. They have everything you could want, a decent prices, and very high quality.I've only eaten in the restaurant once, but both of the pozole, and the menudo were absolutely fantastic. I will certainly be returning for more.“
“(?) Avocado is the best local Mexican restaurant in the area!!!! The dishes are amazing and very authentic. I feel like this cuisine is the best without having to go South of the border!!! Everything is very reasonably priced????!!! I've been here for dinner and have had their scrumptious desserts!!!! The desserts are insanely good like the food????? ?. The server told me that their breakfast is served all day except for the pancakes. I am going to have to try. The overall dining experience is superb!!!!???????Vegetarian options: You have to try out the veggie chimichanga!!!????Parking: Parking lot is suitable.Kid-friendliness: Decorated in bright and cheerful colors, very family oriented, and kid friendly.“
“Have tried all the local and surrounding area Mexican food from Phoenixville, Norristown, Spring City, Skippack, and Pottstown. This is definitely the best! Anyone who says otherwise in the reviews are probably competitors. Finally an option that offers real depth of flavors in every dish, super fresh, and does the best rice & beans! Fair price point. I hope they stay consistent! Great addition to the area. Don’t sleep on them.“
“My family and I ordered food from here for the first time recently. My only regret is not ordering from here sooner. We all loved the food we ordered and when we picked up our order the woman who rung us up was so friendly and inside the restaurant looked and smelled amazing. I already can’t wait to order from there again.“
“Whoever owns this location must be a very smart and likeable owner. All of the employees are always so nice and go above and beyond to be friendly. Especially the older woman that works in the evenings and the older gentleman that works during the days. And the one guy that wraps the tacos always does it so well and it holds my taco together so nicely . They always get my order right and out in a timely manner. They continue to give me fantastic deals and discounts on things which keeps me coming back very often. I’m so happy I live so close to this location. It continuously slays and is so consistent in quality“
“I went here tonight for the first time, and it didn’t disappoint!!! The atmosphere is vibrant and colorful, which is just a bonus to the amazing food!! The loaded nachos are easily the best nachos I’ve ever had, AND THE CHIPS DIDN’T BREAK ON ME!! Definitely a new favorite <3 Thank you to the lovely staff for giving us great service and an awesome dinner!!“
“Fiesta Churro is a gem worth seeking out.Crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside, each bite was a perfect. The sugar and cinnamon coating offered just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. It's clear that Fiesta Churro knows their craft well, serving up churros that could easily become anyone's favorite. The staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. Definitely stop by if you’re shopping at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets.“

“|The Food|The waiter started us with chips with frijoles and shredded queso fresco with a side of red salsa and green guacamole salsa, SPICY, I can handle the spiciness so I was fine, but add as much salsa as you can handleThe food is really good I ordered 3 tacos de bistec that order comes with...* three tacos de bistec - steak, cilantro, and onions* slices of cucumber* slices of turnip* slices of lime My boyfriend ordered 2 gorditas de tinga that order comes with...* 2 gorditas - tinga de pollo - lettuce - shredded queso fresco* Slices of cucumber* slices turnipWe ordered one cup of horchata, I wouldn't say one cup, but a whole blending machine cup LMAO, but the horchata was good like any other good Mexican restaurant, nothing really special.|The service|The service was meh. The waiter seemed like he didn't want to be there. But he got everything we wanted, so no complains thereOther than that service was ok|Ambiance|The place is very culturelized, I don't know how else to explain it but, they had the whole restaurant filled with the Mexican decor, it's very nice. The tables are nice as well, dark wood“
“Simply the best. I lived in California for 15 years and this is the closest I’ve found on the east coast to the excellent Mexican food along CA’s Highway 1. Homemade tortillas, too!My 10 year old wants to make sure I write “OMG you have to go to this place!” And she’s right!Kid-friendliness: Great for kids; chicken fingers and hard shell beef tacos are available!“
“If you want great authentic Mexican food with fast and speedy preparation this is the place for you. Awesome fish tacos and super burritos! Just tried the taquitos this time and they were delish!! I love having such a great local spot with reasonable prices!!“
“An easy to miss spot: but you DON'T want to miss this. Not only is it delicious, the prices are extremely reasonable compared to some of the overpriced sports on this street. Not too busy during lunch on a Saturday, pretty quiet and homey. My friend and I were confused at first whether to be seated, but you walk to the back and order at the front first. Then, they'll bring things to your table. The menu is quite extensive and I'm incredibly impressed. I'd definitely like to come again to try more things. I found the three papusas filling, I almost did an order of tacos in addition and I'm glad I didn't, no way I would have finished.“
“Best sopes I've ever had and I would know because I search far and wide for the most authentic Mexican food and by god have I found it. If you haven't been to this wonderful establishment then get yourself down here and get a chicken sopes or whatever floats your boat. I promise you won't waste any time or money by coming here“
“We were visiting out of town for a sport competition and needed somewhere close to grab lunch with a big group. Nataly's went ABOVE and BEYOND expectations. Be aware, it is a total dive (barely functional AC, tables from the 80's, etc.) but the food is wonderful. The Enchiladas Verdes were absolutely delectable and did not hold back on the spice. The wait staff had limited English but was more than attentive. You have to stop here if you're in North-West Philly.“
“Title: A Culinary Masterpiece: The Unforgettable Chicharrón ExperienceRating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐In the world of gastronomic delights, there are few experiences that truly transcend the ordinary, and the chicharrón at Chechorón does just that. This dish isn't merely food; it's a culinary masterpiece, a testament to the incredible skill and passion behind its creation. From the very first bite, it's clear that this chicharrón is in a league of its own. The outer layer is exquisitely crispy, providing a satisfying crunch that is the hallmark of perfectly prepared chicharrón. But it's not just the texture that astonishes; it's the depth of flavors that unfold with each bite. There's a delicate balance of savory and just the right hint of spice, creating a symphony of tastes that dance on the palate. The meat itself is a revelation. Tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, it speaks volumes of the expertise and care that goes into its preparation. Each piece is a harmonious blend of flavors, so rich and succulent that it practically melts in your mouth, leaving a lingering taste that beckons you back for more. What makes this chicharrón truly stand out is the way it encapsulates the essence of its origins while bringing something entirely new to the table. It respects the traditional preparation methods, yet there's an innovative touch that elevates it to a modern culinary marvel. It's clear that the chef has not only mastered the art of cooking chicharrón but has also poured their heart and soul into every aspect of its creation.Parking: great“
“I've been working in the Eagleville area and stopped by here last week for lunch. Ordered 3 carne asada tacos and they were some of the best tacos I've ever had. Staff were very friendly, prices were great, good variety of food and drink, and prices were reasonable. The salsa verde was also incredible. I don't even live near here but I'm planning on making my way over here to get food again because it was so good that I'm already craving it again.“
“Super solid Mexican spot. Food is very tasty and portion sizes are huge. Prices are a tiny bit on the higher side but you get what you pay for for sure. Salsa Verde is some of the best I ever had. Fries on the side of the burrito is a combo I never knew I needed, it was delicious.“
“I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here. The hostess was hospitality personified. More importantly, the food was delicious. I got their special signature tacos, which were actually fired taquitos, not what I was expecting but a very nice surprise nonetheless. Steak taco was also pretty good.“
“We had a wonderful experience at El Vago. The food is authentic Mexican gourmet. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Parking is free and convenient. The service is personal and accommodating. Reservations are recommended.Parking: Plenty of parking spots very close to the restaurant.“
