5/6/23 Cangianos appears to be closed .Anthony's is in place now- we wandered in today, they've just opened.Nice fellow. Still working on getting settled, but very pleasant and we enjoyed the food. Sandwiches were very good- steak sandwich and chicken Milanese. Very attentive owner!

Horrible !!!! Ordered 4 pies and a hoagie Saturday night and it was the worst pizza we have ever had, and there are some bad ones out there. I don’t know who gave them good reviews, maybe it was family but be warned it’s awful and a waste of money. Bottom was uncooked and had flour on the bottom. Basil was burned and the margarita pizza had one round piece of mozzarella on each slice, nothing like the pictures shown. One and done !!!!

best italian hoagies, or any hoagie, in the scranton area. great desserts too.Parking: easy to find and easy to parkWheelchair accessibility: the sidewalk connects to the parking lot so it very easy for anyone in a wheelchair to get in.Dietary restrictions: they listen each time you ask for anything to be removed or substituted and go over it again to be sure. much appreciated.

I had a Birthday celebration for my Husband ... rather different, we celebrate His birthday... a Heavenly Birthday since He passed on Labor Day last year. I ordered sandwiches (hoagies, antipasto and chicken Cesar salad... it was a huge hit. Tom would have loved it. I always order from here and have NEVER been disappointed! Great food and great people!

Just incredible!!!!! The homemade soda they bottle themselves, the beautiful and unique decorating, the quality pizza, the good service, the smokey smell of their wood-fired oven, everything is incredible.

Not sure how I've never tried this place before. One of the best hero sandwiches I've had in the area. Tried The Cangiano - good quantity of ingredients and good flavor/quality but what really made it is the roll it was on - perfect! Will definitely be back and look forward to trying other menu items including their pizza.

Thanks, Cangiano... You've won my heart and my appetite. I walked into an eclectically decorated eatery the may serve more as a front for a catering operation than an actual sit-down restaurant, and was greeted by the lovely Mary who made me feel right at home.. and not just any home but my mama's kitchen kind of home.I was offered a seat in the menu, but it was a hint that I should take a look at the menu of the day. It's not listed on the menu, rather it's on display as the freshly made dishes that are in trays right on the counter. You had me at home cooking! I took one look and realized why chance the menu when what's right before me is already calling my name in such a profound way.Was I at a restaurant or in an Italian home? I was looking at heaps of gently grilled pork chops, glazened chicken, drums, caramelized all around, lightly charred peppers, grilled tomatoes (to perfection, in my humble opinion), pasta with prawns, and a heap of mashed potatoes that would be the end of any Thanksgiving giving table.I took a small helping of everything, minus the potatoes with Mary's help. She brought the plate out to me and sent me up for what was going to be a taste of the Mediterranean, home, a stroll down memory lane, and real food eating. I savored it. Slowly. As food, good food should be.My eyes are always bigger than my stomach, so my next order was for takeout which I would happily turn over to the hotel staff minus a bite of a slice of one of their wood fired pizzas. Pizzas. I watched while dining how the pizzas were slowly crafted and placed into a traditional oven, which you might consider the centerpiece of the restaurant. The crafting was deliberate and artisanal. The blaze from the oven brought the crust to a quick crisp. It gave me just enough time to put in an order for two desserts for carry out. There goes my eyes and my stomach, again. The pizza ingredients are clearly fresh and crust was super well made and baked. For me, the home cooked plate of food took the cake, though. Before leaving I had an opportunity to meet and chat with the current owner, Joe. Friendly guy with the humble story to share. He's building on what his family established and hoping to leave a legacy. It's the kind of stuff that reminds you, how and what family is important. This is not a place to eat. It's a place to connect people and food in a meaningful way.

Call to order a GF pizza. They take my order and I show up 45 minutes later for them to say they “ don’t have Gluten free” pizza right now. What an absolute joke, drove 30 minutes for nothing. What an absolute sham of a place

Good food, would be perfect with more dining area space!

Impeccably fast service, massive portion sizes, and high-quality food. Highly recommend it.

Unfortunately we pulled in on a Monday to eat and no bueno. Called and went to voicemail.

Great place if you like burnt edge, raw center pizza. Tried it twice, first time had 1/8 inch of flour on the crust in November 21' . Gave them a second shot in June 22, raw center and burnt ends.Spend your money elsewhere where they respect you.

Pizza was simultaneously burnt on top and soggy on the bottom. Not the friendliest of places. I'd try it again. Perhaps it was an off day.
