Charged me more than they should have on my credit card and then did not provide a receipt. Also the baked goods were honestly gross.

Carmella's had a stand at Xmas Village by City Hall in Philly and the cookies and pastries were so huge I had to go home and measure it... It was 11" This was only 6 bucks!... I told them they needed to raise their prices! So yummy!

Didn't have the chance to travel to their shop, but had stumbled across them at Bacon Fest in a Easton, PA. There were so many choices that looked outstanding, but we decided to try the classic cannolis... FANTASTIC!My picky partner agreed that they were outstanding, enough so that he'd consider taking a trip there from our neck of the woods (about 2 hours south).

Great little spot to grab lunch. I enjoyed my sandwich, their rolls are not huge so your getting a good ratio of meat to bread. Service was also very good, was not very busy when I went. They do carry pastries which I did not try. But others have said they are not that fresh which understandable and a small location and where the situated. Maybe management could do what they used to do by us they would get the pastries and fresh and freeze what they could and take them out in portions. I can't really speak on you that just a suggestion for a great little restaurant and I hope continues to do well.

I made a special trip here, was so excited to have a sfogliatella, even waited to get home till I could make a nice pot of coffee to enjoy it. I understand that pastries aren’t made daily, but spent $16 on 4 pastries, and only a napoleon was edible. If they’re too old to sell, don’t sell them. Very bummed out.

Nice Italian Sub. Nice staff, good service, good food. Say hello to Eugene!
Bought half a dozen pastries yesterday, Saturday, April 8th up at Jim Thorpe and I noticed they didn’t taste fresh. I thought maybe it was the cold weather that made the pastries a bit stale, but nope we got home and realized they were still stale and not fresh like they were made several days ago. Gave it a try this morning, Sunday and they are very stale. I’ve had pastries from other bakeries 2 days later and they didn’t taste this stale. Very disappointing when they were $5 a piece too.

Everything I look for in a small NEPA-style Italian cafe. Delicious sandwiches and pastries. Great people working. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Please come back to Lewes, Delaware! I'm from Hoboken (60's). Carmella's is superior. Looking forward to buying the sauce at Lloyd's Market in Lewes.
