Papa's has great food (especially their cheesesteak hoagies) in a clean, cute atmosphere in the heart of downtown Scranton. Papa's is always a win!!!
Some food was lukewarm probably because they plated it and let it sit for the rest of the order. No table service. Counter staff disengaged and unenthusiastic. Pizza is only 10 inch deep dish. Instead of having some good italian platters or heroes, there are grinders with a couple of italian choices. Salads make McDonald's salads seem classy.

The pizza gives you a Pizza Hut vibe. It is greasy and their is a bitter taste to it, especially in the after taste. It satisfies the craving for pizza but I would not seek it out. I have ordered from here 3 times. Once on grubhub, once on their website and once in person. The restaurant was having issues with receiving grub hub orders and they never received it so I had to wait an extra 15 minutes to get it. In person, they misplaced my order during the lunch rush so I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for a grinder. I was with a lunch party and awkwardly was the only one eating as everyone else was done. The order from the website was made exactly as asked and I picked it up 5 minutes early. I walked in and immediately back out with my order.

I used to love coming here. But recently the dinner service has been terrible. Made an order that was supposed to be ready at 6:50. At 7:05 they tried to serve me two burnt tuna grinders claiming they don't look burnt.Updated my food review after it was fixed because it was actually good. Would maybe have even given 5 stars if the pizza didn't need to sit around and wait for the grinders.

Extremely satisfied with choosing Pizza By Pappas for dinner. Their Pizza is very good I have 0 complaints and will 100% order from them again. The pies are almost like a personal size and it's delicious. You must try the pizza if you are looking for pizza in Scranton.

Did a delivery order over the phone for work lunch. I asked for a mixed cold cuts grinder and emphasized no onion and no cheese. It had onions in with the lettuce. Thank goodness I'm not allergic to them, just sensitive. Be careful if you have food allergies. Apparently they don't care to be sure.The chicken noodle soup was almost tasteless.I'll be back for the pizza, that's delish. I guess I'll skip the extras.Dietary restrictions: Be careful if you have allergies.
