I stopped in and never had true soul food before and the lady there was super nice and welcoming. My friend asked if I wanted grits and I've never had them before so the lady overheard me saying this and said let me get you some shrimp and grits to try. I live nearby. Never tried their food. When I rolled up (I'm in a wheelchair) I could tell the food would be good because there was a line.I ordered catfish, Collide greens, french fries, and banana pudding. The staff was busy but very friendly and polite. It was a 12min wait because I didn't order ahead but I didn't mind.They have all kinds of sides and every other Saturday they change to BBQ chicken and Ribs if that's your thing.The food was amazing. Oh my goodness. Where do I start? My son who lives in Redding hit me to southern side kitchen where I made my parents today. Catfish mac and cheese cabbage sweet potatoes deviled eggs cornbread pineapple upside down cake let me tell you something. I am so happy.
