This is the best bar I’ve been to. If you haven’t been here yet, I suggest you visit. Their food is awesome, as well as their drinks. They are both friendly as well as kind! This is easily the best bar I’ve been to! Even if you don’t drink, you have to at least come here to see how perfect this place is.

This place has a great atmosphere with a wide selection of beers on tap. They also offer spirits for those that prefer a cocktail. The food is ok.

It was the only place without a line, and now we know why. The service was slow and not friendly; one of the waitresses walking around was pretty mean to everyone that came in. The bartender messed up my drink, and while he did fix it, he made a point to tell me that he made it right and it was just my tastes that were wrong...I've had dozens of negronis in my life, many in Italy, and have made several myself, so I'm pretty sure I know what its supposed to taste like...

If I could give zero stars I would! We went after a Penn State game and the place was less then 1/2 full. They had ONE Bartender, ONE Cook, and ONE waitress... right after a HOME OPENER WITH 105K+ people!!! The waitress ( who couldn’t have gone faster or worked harder) was totally overwhelmed, and the Bartender, (who was also the manager) was constantly running. They have removed their board of drinks that show what they have and now use a QR code driven menu.. which doesn’t tell you as much as your talk with the bartenders use to. Their is no interaction at all and it took 25 mins to get a second beer. To get a simple sandwich ( which tasted like a high school cafeteria) took AN HOUR! Their “antipasto” had two pieces of meat, soaking wet greens, no cheese, one pepperocini, and 4 grape tomatoes. Their meatball subs are salty and all frozen and have microwaved meatballs. They don’t serve 1/2 of what they use to and what they do serve is bad. The management set themselves up for failure as the entire place is dysfunctional!!DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!Liberty Tavern should close!
This was an overall terrible experience. The waitress was rude and dismissive from the moment we arrived, and clearly used wearing a mask as an excuse to make derisive comments, thinking that we couldn't hear her. The drinks took forever to arrive, and we had nothing but trouble with the app/online ordering system, with it just not registering some of our orders and, we were given no help trying to navigate it. Then, when it was time to pay the bills the bartender was also rude and antagonistic, while giving us the wrong checks. It was awful, and not somewhere we will be going back to.

Claims it just re-opened, but no one answers phone nor is there a voice mail.

At first there was no sign of waiting to be seated. No host or server greeted us. We ordered drinks and food. The drinks were great. Our water had some white floaties in the bottle but the water tasted fine. The food was a bust, except the soft pretzels which were great. I had the margarita pizza which was both raw and flavorless. The porketta sandwich had too many flavors to it - one of which just tasted off.The night was a bust, which was sad after seeing so many people there before. I would go back if I could order only drinks. But not if I had to get a meal.

Our server was amazing and the food was simple but delicious. Small menu of fresh, authentic food.

Terrible customer service and communication. My wife and I were seated and told the waitress that we just wanted to buy a beer. About 10 minutes after bringing us our drinks, the waitress told us that we were required to order food per the governor's orders. We told her we did not want food and that she should have told us about this rule ahead of time. The manager came and spoke with us and was not at all understanding...she was fairly rude and basically blamed us for not knowing the rule despite the fact that were from out of town. Since we had to order something, we ordered the avocado toast and it was awful and way overpriced ($6 for a piece of toast?) There are at least 10 other bars downtown where you can get a drink/food- pick a different place than Liberty's.
