Tucked away in an alley downtown it's not particularly visible if you're not looking for it but for someone just walking by as I was it's not a bad spot to stop. The place didn't seem to have ac so it was pretty warm inside but they were quick and friendly with service. The food was surprisingly good. I had the Arabic style shawarma and if you know what to request in it it's really good. The chicken seems of good quality and the bread is a thin tortilla so not overbearing the inside of the sandwich. Get the chicken shawarma Arabic style with garlic mayo, cabbage, pickles, and onions - nothing else. You won't be disappointed. Get a side of some sauces as well. I'd recommend the lemon tahini and tsaziki. They cut it up and top it with tons of seasoned fries, and the fries are really good. Very filling for 12 bucks.

Didn't have the best experience here- my mom looked at the online ordering menu ahead of time and tried ordering something, the person up front said the online menu and in person menu were different and they don't have that. She asked what they do when someone orders it online and they didn't answer, she also asked what was comparable and they just shrugged. I got a falafel wrap and my husband got a lamb wrap. They scooped the lamb right over my open wrap and spilled lamb and meat juices into it, which grossed me out since I'm a vegetarian but the interaction had been so awkward already that I didn't say anything. Our wraps were fine, standard falafel and hummus and veggies in a tortilla. My mom got the half chicken and rice, the chicken was super dry she only got about two bites worth off the whole half chicken. The rice was fine, the tabouleh tasted like straight lemon juice, very sour. I won't be returning, personally, but it looks like maybe online ordering/takeout is a better experience based on other reviews.

We stop at Pita Cabana every time we come to State College. It's absolutely declicious. My partner and I both get falafel sandwiches, which we customize with different toppings. The baba ganoush is my favorite alongside the falafel, which they literally scoop and fry when you order it. My only qualm is they now use tortillas instead of pitas, which is ironic considering their name - not sure there's a pita in the whole building. Overall, still love the place, affordable, filling, delicious, fresh and fast. Oh, and there's 5-minute parking in front so you can stop in and leave your flashers on!

My girlfriend and I ordered the gyro platter, chicken platter, hummus and baklava. Food was extremely sour and unseasoned. Hummus tasted like straight plain Greek yogurt. Baklava was tasteless and tasted like buttered corn flakes. Complete waste of money, not authentic at all. Will not be ordering again. Unbelievable.

The food here is ok. Rice was good but the lamb leg was dry and the salad was bland. I unfortunately found a bug in my food, it was in the speckled seasoning they put on the onions. Won't be ordering again, that's revolting. I was really hoping it was cumin until I saw the legs and

I love it here! The food was so good. They had a vertical broiler and it made the chicken amazing. There were so many food options, the food was done quick, and the staff was very nice. It was also a cool environment to eat in because the murals inside are very interesting

Delicious food. So much flavor! Tabbouleh and Lebanese rice tasted homemade. Highly recommended.

Not a chain, cheap, quick and super tasty. What's not to love?? Support this friendly, family run business!!

Their food quality is unbelievably changed. Overcooked and burned and they simply don't care!

Did delivery last night. Prompt delivery. VERY Generous portions. Very nicely marinated and properly cooked chicken. Shredded lettuce under the Falafel patties was pretty gross (brown and slimy) - threw out the lettuce immediately. Falafel was suppose to come with tahini, but came with nothing. Shishtawook platter was supposed to come with hummus, but came with tahini instead - so we used that tahini for the falafel. Chicken cabana sandwich was supposed to have French fries inside, but did not. Overall the food (except the lettuce) was very good. Just a bit of a jumbled order.

I ordered a lamb gyro and hummus, the gyro was good but I was disappointed that because they gyro was rapped in a tortilla instead of pita bread and also in the description it said hummus came with pita bread but instead it came with 3 tortillas instead of pita bread which was a disappointment considering its a Mediterranean style place and the description said pita bread.

The WORST customer service I have ever received. The person upfront was rude, unhelpful, and argumentative to us from the second we walked in. Argued about what came with our meal (claimed that pita didn't come with the platter when it says so on online). We ordered two platters (chicken satay and shishook) and falafel. The falafel was BURNT and the satay platter was drenched in hummus and tahini sauce. The satay platter's chicken was bland/dry and had no satay whatsoever on it. I called the store after we left to see if I could get my order fixed and spoke with the same person as we did in store. They were extremely rude and argued about my order and told me that they did it right and was extremely argumentative and dismissive. I used to order from here a lot but I will never go back because I have never received such terrible treatment while ordering food/ trying to fix an order. For the price of the meal, you'd think more care would be put into it.

This was one of my favorite places to go while I was in college at Penn State and now every time I visit I have to go back. I love getting the rice place with falafel and then picking from the wide variety of veggie toppings that they have! It is a great option for vegans and non vegans! I think that the food is consistently good and it always brings me back to the good times I had coming here with my roommates in college. I definitely recommend coming here if you are in the State College area!

The food here is fresh. We had the falafel pita and shrimp tacos. It was absolutely delicious. A lot of food for the money.

My lamb platter was gritty, like sand from an oyster. I suspect it was from the parsley/cilantro that was mixed throughout the dish. This happens with produce when it isn't washed properly. The lamb, rice and salad was very gritty. I made the (unwise) decision to power through as much as I could and now am feeling very ill. I didn't expect this, as I have been frequenting Pita Cabana several times a month and I usually look forward to it. Yes, the lamb platters are expensive, but normally very delicious!
