My husband had reservations for our Valentine's day dinner her last evening and the menu, dinner and wait staff was incredible! The food was amazing from the first course all the way through dessert. It was our first time there and we both agreed that we will be back to try the regular menu.

Outstanding location for quality quality meals. Good place to catch up with friends. Looking forward to coming back with my friends. This place has a cool feel to it. They have a lot of good reviews for a reason.

Poppy Bevan

Good variety on the menu and a good variety of beers and wines

quality meals and the scene here is great. Everyone at our table was glad to be there. The staff was sociable and attentive. It has a nice feel to it. I can see why they have a lot of great reviews.

Nice quite place to stay for the weekend visiting my son at school. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. Great pub inside for casual dinner and drinks.

This review is a long time coming for The Dining Room. I fear the restaurant has been sitting on its laurels for too long exclusively because of the location and the nostalgia that people feel going there to eat. My wife and I have been one of those nostalgia visitors for about a decade now, but no more. We went for a nice quiet evening out together a little bit before Christmas. Not at an unreasonable time and day either, mind you. It was like 6 pm on a Thursday. We were greeted with some of the most obnoxiously juvenile holiday music I've heard in some time (Must be Santa Claus and Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer featuring heavily in the lineup). Not exactly the kind of quiet, classy ambiance we had come to expect from prior visits. Also, since our last visit, the lights have been updated to the cheaper end of energy efficient lighting (seriously, you can get an energy efficient light bulb that doesn't look like bright hell on earth). In between the music, which was also far too loud, and lights that were so bright we had to keep our eyes fixed on our plates, we were regaled with the gossip of wait staff crowded around a nearby table. Okay, so check mark to ambiance getting a F-. The food, that would be a saving point, right? No, not even a little. The scallops were undercooked (needed another minute) and the risotto was also undercooked (needed considerably more minutes) . Fortunately each of the dishes was over-salted so it evens out? No not even a little. F- again. We really hope The Dining Room takes this review to heart and makes some changes so we can once again enjoy this establishment.

Had a lunch meeting at the dining room. On the way out, asked the front desk to validate my parking ticket. There were no other guests at the desk. They made me walk all the way back to the restaurant to get it validated where the hostess rolled her eyes because the front desk wouldn't stamp it. And its the same stamp! Then on the way back past the desk the desk clerk asked if it went ok. Seriously, why didn't she just stamp my ticket. Obviously there is an internal battle going on at the hotel and I got caught in the middle. Very poor customer service....

Nice atmosphere, good food and great service

Food was excellent, I do wish that other tables would learn to have a little class and figure out that not everyone in the dinning room, wants to be part of your conversation!
