Wow. We went here for lunch today and just incredible. The open faced roast beef meal will be something we order every time as well as the cheese curds! So good! Also liked the corn nuggets, though there was no syrup for them. Took the real deal home and haven't had a chance to eat it. The mushrooms weren't our style, but the service was impeccable! The staff was incredibly kind. We enjoyed the classic vibe of the dining room! We personally don't like tomato pie but understand the chokehold that corropolese has on this area.

Recently tried the "Real Deal" Italian Sandwich for the first time. A classic style -hoagie- with terrific ingredients, love the Boar's Head Sharp Provolone.

The portion size and the quality of the hoagies/subs is AMAZING. I spent my first 30 years in Philly, and Oliver's sandwiches FAR SURPASS any that I have ever had there. Friendly service has always been the expectation and the result. The smells coming from this place are enough to make you want seconds, thirds, and fourths.

The food was great, had to order sandwiches for those who missed out and stayed home. The staff was friendly and courteous. The decor reminded me of the corner sandwich shops back when I was youngster.

I do not live in the area but was out that way at Fairgrounds Farmers market to get Italian sandwiches at Monte Lauro and their stand was closed for vacation and I remembered hearing great things about Oliver's so decided to give it a try. Our sandwiches were amazing and the staff were so friendly!! We will definitely be back and spread the word to others who may not know about this spot. Will still patronize Monte Lauro but it's awesome to find great Italian sandwiches in berks county as I am from Philly. They are both excellent. Also whatever rolls they use hold up nicely. I ate my sandwich over several days and the roll didn't get soggy at all even with the oil and vinegar on it.
