“They're a very friendly and familiar restaurant, accessible to truckers, and with waitresses who greet you like you've been coming there every week for the last 25 years. Nestled in the Allegheny mountain range of the Susquehanna trail, the morning sunlight streams into the homestyle restaurant and warms your soul. The portions were surprisingly big, and though A la carte does add up, you really only need one side with your omelet. Home fries are done on the flat top, sausages come in disks. This was exactly what I need in the middle of my 600 me day. I will definitely be stopping through next time I come by.“
“The Trout Run Hotel is a fun place if you are in the area. The food is very good, the atmosphere inviting and scrupulously clean, and the staff are very friendly. My favorite guilty pleasure is their ranch pizza with pickles; it is a surprisingly tasty treat. Try it. You will love it.“
“The food here is very good and quite reasonable for the price. The staff are so nice and quick. The vibes are cute little baseball themed. The sticky buns are awesome obviously. The coffee and iced tea are great too. It's a solid breakfast place!“
“Once I read reviews that said, "This is where the locals go"- I knew it was gonna be good! And good it was!My family was travelling with our dog. I checked with the waitress & she kindly said we could be served in their outdoor seating area. We placed our order inside & were quickly served our tasty sandwiches & sides- with a smile too!If you like "local flavor"- and good food, good prices and good service- The Crippled Bear Inn is for you!“
“Was a nice experience doing lunch here.I’m writing this comment because I want to apologize that I did something stupid that might ruin someone’s day…When we were paying, the girl who served us was gone for a second. I thought we done and there was no option to tip, so I put my tips in the bowl. But then the girl came back and I realized the payment was not finished yet. So when I signed, my friend told me to put 0 in the tips because we already did it by cash (but no one saw it T_T). I feel bad to do it even though I did tip… I hope the staff see this and knowing what happened and don’t be angry if you saw a 0, I didn’t mean to do it…“
“Just want to give credit where credit is due. I walked in to get our spaghetti ? dinner and everyone that I encountered with were so pleasant and caring, helpful, just felt good to see good peeps. Keep up the good work. Just want to add. The spaghetti was delicious ?.“
“First time I stopped and will definitely be going back. Food was delicious and hot. Great prices and very nice staff. Had a wonderful experience. I always like to support the small businesses in the area and this is a place I will definitely be supporting!!!!!!“
“Beautiful location, rustic cozy atmosphere. Prices were as expected. I am curious why they gave us bottled water ($1/ea). Is the tap or well water not good? If so do they use it for dishes and cooking? I got the fish special and it was fine. The veggies and rice were cooked prefect. The fish dip appetizer was tastey, but didn't come with enough crackers but they gave us more.“
“Very charming place to eat and enjoy some good food. Our server, Willow, was friendly and attentive. My companion and I each had omelets that were loaded with veggies. After lunch I purchased some of their in store roasted coffee to have at home. The restaurant is family friendly with plenty of parking.Vegetarian options: Several menu items can be enjoyed by vegetarian or non vegetarian.“
“Great little bar spot. Lovely bartenders. Hospitable and comfortable atmosphere. Good prices and their fried foods were crispy and fresh. Nice little stop without the downtown prices- hustle n bustle. Their blue moon on tap was clean and better then I've had elsewhere. Brew(beer battered) fries were divine and I hear the same for their wings. Pop in and give em the business. !Parking: Nice off road parking as well as street side and a parking lot out back.“
“I ate lunch here today. It was a perfect day to eat outside and it was a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend the spicy chicken sandwich with crispy fries. Gets your taste buds tingling but it’s not over hot. I wish I knew my servers name. She was so sweet and really on the ball. So whoever was taking care of me on the patio on 8/14 around noon thank you so much. You are very kind and personable. I’ve eaten here several times before. I highly recommend this awesome place to anyone looking for a good meal.“
“The staff is the best. They are always smiling and are actually happy yo see you. Their food is exactly what you want from a local bar/restaurant. Try the Stinger. It is a mix between a cheesesteak and Buffalo chicken fingers. It is just perfect. Excellent burgers, wings, and salads. Their specials are fantastic as well. Love the bar and the atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: They have an area in the back with video games for the kids.“
“It's been many years since I've been there.....the breakfast was very good and the restaurant was very clean and nice. I would like to go back there again. They sell Rita's custard ice cream in the warmer months and I LOVE IT lol“
“The food was pretty good. Had the hot scallop salad. It's not too bad, and everything paired well. Some inattention to cleanliness as the floor was in need of sweeping. The bathroom was clean, though. The service was great, and our server was excellent!“
“Typical bar environment with phenomenal food! We have been here a couple of times. We have had the tuna melt, build a burger, mediterranean chicken sandwhich, and steak...nothing disappoints! Match that with friendly wait staff and clean facilities. I'm glad that we live about a half hour away so that I'm not there every night!“
“My Family and I had an excursion on McIntyre Mountain so I Googled local restaurants … Deer Xing Inn was right in Ralston. Our Waitress was amazing and very kind. The food was absolutely delicious. We all think we have found a new place to eat! Will visit again soon.“
