Very decent place to get you favorite alcoholic beverages. Police need to step up on handling the homeless people flocking down the hill from 69th street terminal during this COVID-19 (Corona Virus) pandemic. They are invading the school & church district. Speaking from me being a white person, but it is more likely the white people mostly making the problem. Not all, but most of them. There was a homeless guy in broad day light washing his gentiles across the street (across the Popeye's restaurant drive-thru near the Renter Center entrance where they load & unload furniture) with a hand wipe while his friend was making him a wheel chair out of a black shopping cart he stole from somewhere in Philadelphia & scrambling through his tool box. They knowing perfectly well what time it was since kids are doing on-line schooling & are going to go out to help their parents shop at the Supreme Dollar / go to the caribbean restaurant / Metro pcs phone stores up from where they sat. Now someone broke it on purpose so they can't rest / sleep there cause that drawed the line. People didn't have a problem if only once in a blue moon someone slept there. Only a few times. Now they only have one bench on the other side near Mecca Furniture. They heard more about this good old small business / found out about it since they found out the Fresh Grocer sells alcohol (not that they use their business there except for food). The store had to band these people, but they still hang around & sometimes bother people around the Wawa. Not all of them are bad. I have given money to plenty down on their luck & more likely didn't receive a stimulus check. Tbh it's more of the old geezer white men that grown beards tryna look like & dress like a hobo & top of it all now in August are reaking of piss! They are really trying to push the limit of people. They are player hating the ones that don't bother anybody (thankfully haven't harassed them) & player hating this nice old small excellent establishment that has been part of our history in Upper Darby & family to us! They do not like how tranquil & very kind a charitable people are, but that is all around 69th street & part of Philadelphia's brotherly love. People have given to people who are grateful in time of need that is very crucial for other people that are more needed of mercy & have given them medical masks to help protect their immune systems as our own & the children's & the elderly. This place has & deserves more respect than this. Police need to step up their game after all the George Floyd & Black Lives Matter protests. Prove you ARE better police please! Upper Darby, SEPTA, 69th St. & Long Lane police pretty please!
