I’m not a frequent reviewer writer, but this business impressed the heck out of me. They’ve been a solid choice of mine for several years now with consistently great ribs, slaw, and mac (my go to order). They also have some great sauces, including their “hog sauce”. I think it’s apple cider vinegar based, but whatever it is, it’s fantastic. Anyway, ordered my usual tonight and requested several sides of hog sauce. Drove 20 min each way to pick up order and upon unpacking the order at home, I notice the hog sauces are missing. This being BBQ, the sauces are kinda important and I’m dreading having to possibly drive back there. I called the store, and I was expecting a disappointing conversation where I was offered something like a $5 credit off my next meal and the “opportunity” to come pick up the missing sauces. However, the call was accepted graciously, and without hesitation, they offer to bring the sauces to my house! In this age of DoorDash and what not, this may not seem like a huge deal. However, this was a Friday night, near closing time, and a 20 minute drive. Kudos to this business for knowing their customer and recognizing that something as trivial as some sauce cups can make or break the customer experience. This is a business that cares and because of my experience tonight, they have gained an even more loyal customer, more word of mouth advertising, and this review. If a business is doing the “small stuff” right, like this, then one can assume the rest of the operation is top notch. Hope this doesn’t sound too over the top, but I’m just impressed with my experience. Thanks Pig and Fire and keep up the great product and customer service!

We went here for supper on March 2, 2024.We were staying at the Hampton Inn, and didn't even have to go out onto the main street to get there. Just meandered through the parking lot shared with multiple businesses. We ordered takeout. We got a full rack of ribs and 2 sides to share. Still had leftovers! We had a beer while waiting.Excellent selection of imported beers. I had my favourite Scottish beer, Innis & Gunn. The food was ready very quickly.Super friendly staff. The place is a big old house with lots of rooms. I think it was a designated heritage building (could be wrong).Excellent atmosphere. We would definitely return.

I am by no means a barbecue fanatic at all. Usually it's one of the last things I choose to eat. We stopped here on a whim, considering we drive by on a daily basis, and just thought it looked like a really cool restaurant. After eating there, I could not go through life without leaving this restaurant a five star review!!! lol. Myself and my boyfriend were absolutely blown away on how amazing the food was. Service was great as well (although it could've been absolutely awful Service and I would not have cared because the food was THAT GOOD!!). I had the brisket tacos with a side of macaroni and cheese. It was phenomenal!!! I don't remember what he had ...some sort of burger? But it came with french fries... they were outstanding. He Was unwilling to share anything off of his plate ?This is one of those restaurants that definitely deserves a second location in the future ...if if they don't have one already ?

It’s a cute place with lots of options. The food my family and I had was fantastic. They also have many Gluten Free options, which is great. The waitress we had was very sweet and quick. Not only that but the food was ready very quickly too.Kid-friendliness: Kids menue

This is my pick for best local restaurant. The bbq is quite good and the sauces they offer are excellent examples of the styles they represent. Service is excellent and the building itself is charming.
This BBQ restaurant is inside an 1800s mansion, and it serves foods such as brisket, pulled pork, chicken, biscuits, cheesy macaroni, and baked beans. My husband and I ate lunch here once. The seating hostess and the waitress very promptly and courteously served us.We rate the pear-walnut salad, pig-and-fire poutine, brisket, baby-back ribs, and apple-cider coleslaw as 4 stars. We rate the French fries and the sweet-pickle potato salad as 5 stars. This restaurant’s house-made sauces tasted very good. We recommend that the restaurant add a “sampler” entree of all meats.
