Small pub with great selections. Very reasonable prices. Tried their cup of cream of crab, Could have had a gallon of it. Had the George Custer hot roast beef with gravy. Huge sandwich with huge favors. Save room for the deserts. The homemade pies and cakes were out of this world. Add to this a friendly staff and you have a pleasant evening.

This was a neat find. Interior atmosphere reminded me of a place I would have gone as a kid with my parents. A bit retro feeling, but extremely clean. Service was amazing. Had a burger and fries and they were delicious. Our waitress had made the dessert, an old timey strawberry and pretzel dish that reminded me of something from a church dinner. It was great. If you are looking for a clean and friendly place with good food, then check this place out.

Wife and I tried dinner for the first time at Monterey Pass Pub & Eatery in Rouzerville, a village in Washington Township just off PA16 at the foot of South Mountain just east of Waynesboro. The restaurant's owners support the Monterey Pass Battlefield Park & Museum at the top of the mountain, aka Blue Ridge Summit, where Union cavalry including Brig. Gen. George Armstrong Custer harassed a miles-long retreating Rebel wagon train during the stormy night of July 4, 1863, the first wave of the defeated invaders at Gettysburg. Decor in the restaurant bears the Civil War theme -- both sides. But to dinner: We arrived an hour before our reservation, a good thing, because the dining crowd gradually almost filled the space, taxing the efficient help staff. Mallory was prompt, polite, efficient as could be (a second server came on at about 6 p.m.) and informative. My date had a Margarita and broiled halibut but I gorged on a meaty, perfectly done half-rack of pork ribs chased by Merlot. The potatoes and steamed, mixed cauliflower & broccoli were rather ordinary, but no matter; the main dishes were outstanding. We shall return, to paraphrase a general in a later war.

This place is fantastic! It's a best kept secret of Waynesboro for sure. Tucked behind Blondies in Rouzerville you can easily miss it but what a find! Decorated in a rustic Civil War themed atmosphere with a relaxing feel and the food is delicious! The menu isn't expansive, which is fine with me. I feel they can give more time and attention to each dish because of it. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, another thing I love. I always leave a nice tip because it's getting mighty rare these days to be able to find good food and service under one roof. It's also clean and the food is prepared well. Another boone in an area and age where no one feels they need to wear gloves, have their hair put up and away or wash there hands between preparing food and serving customers. Our family loves and highly recommends!!

Incredible service from Suzy! The food was delicious (the three of us ate every single thing on the plates)! Not only was her service outstanding but she also politely waited several feet from our table until we finished saying grace before serving our entrees. Because of her we will make the Monterey Pass Pub & Eatery a regular side trip when visiting Gettysburg, PA.

Very clean and commendable Civil War period décor. We both had Broiled Haddock which was done to our specifications. Moderately priced with excellent service. We will be back!
