Just discovered this "market" which more like prepared food fair/food truck. Federal donuts had a booth here along with Udon Thai out of Wilmington. Some places had food ready to eat while other have frozen or pantry items. There was one veggie stand and plenty of other vendors with baked goods, empanadas, Polish treats, boutique spirits among other things. You can see who will be there on their FB page. Hours are on Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm in the parking lot outside Levante Brewing in an industrial part just off of Matlack St.

Some highlights from here- 1. Uban Thai makes excellent panang curry. It is mildly spicy. I like it better when it is cold. The owner has other frozen foods, too. She has, about half of the time, hot chicken pao buns and taro pao buns. They are quite good. 2. Ken, from Jamonit, has delicious to die for challah. I like to have of challah with some peanut butter at home. He varies his offerings. I like his Hungarian cabbage noodles and pork sandwiches best when he has them. 3. There is a new place here- Jawnrey. Their croissants are great. This week, for the first time, they will have pretzels. 4. The organic coffee place is good- they have a different sample each week to try. 5. Dragonfly offers different frozen meals. My favorite is the shepherd's pie- enough for three large potion servings for myself. They occasionally have Irish soda bread (their grandma's recipe). The last time they made it, I bought about five loaves and froze it. And, it is addicting. 6. Susan, according to my husband, has great cakes and cookies. But, I don't eat any cookies or cakes anymore. 7. Halal- she has excellent lamb wraps. When she has lamb frozen meals, I buy them to enjoy during the week. Every vendor is nice at the market. It is a great place to shop for frozen meals, coffee and desserts. I look forward to eating lunch here

I absolutely love the Artisan Exchange. This is your one stop shop for local food vendors. There is such a nice variety of prepared and specialty foods as well as artisan goods (coffee, candles). The baked goods are always amazing. Also a bonus that they sometimes have federal donuts and dizengoff!! The earlier you can get there the better, as parking can be difficult.

I love this market but it is so hard to get there in the only 3 hour time frame it is open! Wish the hours were longer, especially in the summer!

Love the Artisan Market just wish the hours were longer. Olive and Meadow is my favorite vendor there, amazing cheese boards, perfect for parties.

Artisan Exchange hosts a group of local vendors, many of which have kitchens onsite, at their pop-up open air market every Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM. Some of my favorites are JamOnIt who has excellent homemade breads, nuts, matzo ball soup, and other delicacies, and What's Up Cream Puff, who has amaretti cookies that are better than any Italian bakery anywhere. Figment Creamery is a new vendor with excellent sorbets and the tortilla chips from Cocina Dotada are yummy. My wife loves the spelt grain snacks when they have them and the coffee they have every week. There's also a popcorn vendor, one that does crab cakes and seafood, an Irish one that does scones, soda breads, and the like, a biscotti and dessert vendor, and a spirits one. They also have vendors that serve savory and sweet pies, an African foods vendor, baked goods, a florist, Italian foods, Turk's Head hot sauces (yum), and an Australian one serving pies that are ready to eat and other desserts. Many vendors have foods that are frozen that you can prepare at home and almost every week they have a featured vendor that serves a hot lunch. If Phyllodelphia is the featured vendor, their lollipop lamb chops are to die for, and Buenos Aires Empanadas does a heavenly skirt steak (entraña) sandwich with chimmichurri. Dragonfly Catering also has great chicken and waffles. And sometimes if you're really lucky you can snag some ready to eat hummus with delicious toppings like lamb or beets from Dizengoff in Philly or Federal Donuts by the half dozen. To make sure you know who will be there on a particular week, sign up for Atrisan's weekly emails. Every Thursday afternoon a list of the vendors and who will be serving lunch comes out. So don't delay..sign up now!

Today was our first time at the Artisan Exchange...loved it! A nice selection of vendors. Sampling is encouraged as there is a wide variety of international and local foods. Flavors of Jalisco Catering's shrimp ceviche is amazing! The cheesecake at Peachala's Dessert is wonderful! Pure Scents Candle Co. has awesome scents and the owner is so informative! We loved all the vendors we met but I need and plan to hire this young lady from CAS, Cook Awesome Food... she needs more money! Seriously. We will be back... thoroughly loved the place!

A great Saturday destination....get there early! Tons of amazing treats by local chefs and artisans. Delicious and a wonderful way to support the community! There's a cool coffee shop next door, too, which I only recently realized was there. Good stuff.

This really is a great place, but it's difficult to enjoy when you feel like you cannot stop to look at anything without vendors asking if you'd like to try a sample, etc. I understand they want to sell their product, but we felt uncomfortable trying a sample of caramel corn or chocolate covered pretzels when we knew we weren't going to buy any, regardless of whether we liked the sample. It just felt too "pushy" there. I know the individual vendors are not pushy per se, but with every vendor pushing their item on you, it's difficult to really get a feel for what's offered. I know some people may feel differently. My partner and I like to browse without feeling like we 'need' to buy something though.
