Special Monday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. It’s hard to find Cheesesteaks and Alcohol on a Monday. Amigo Dan thinks he is a Pizza Expert so we went to Mercato and got a Mercato Pizza and Old Fashions. We liked Mercato’s. We liked our server. We liked our Old Fashions very much. I liked all of the ingredients that make the Mercato Pizza and just did not like them together as a pizza. The egg freaked me out.

Placed a $100 delivery order. Received one of three items ordered. Called the manager. They were too busy I was told to handle the mistake. They blamed DoorDash. Asked me to pickup the order or to call DoorDash and try to correct their mistake. Got a partial refund and had to order with another service and restaurant. Any restaurant too busy to handle their coordinating mistakes is not worth the risk.

I recently visited a charming restaurant Mercato’s and had the pleasure of experiencing their delightful food and expertly crafted cocktails. The highlight of my evening was undoubtedly the incredible service provided by the friendly and knowledgeable bartenders, Rhea and Nick. Their warm smiles and attentive nature truly enhanced the overall dining experience, making me feel right at home.However, as much as I enjoyed the exceptional service, I couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment when I learned that Rhea and Nick, along with the rest of the dedicated staff, were required to work well into the late hours of Christmas Eve. It was disheartening to witness such hardworking individuals being denied the opportunity to spend precious time with their loved ones during the holiday season, all due to the owner's decision to keep the restaurant open past closing time.Despite the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the staff's holiday work schedule, I must commend the entire staff for their unwavering professionalism and commitment to providing top-notch service, even under such challenging conditions. Their dedication speaks volumes about their work ethic and the positive atmosphere they strive to uphold.In conclusion, Mercato’s undoubtedly boasts a team of exceptional individuals, particularly Arden (Manager)Kevin, Nick and Rhea and the entire wait staff whose exemplary service deserves high praise. However, the owner's decision to keep the restaurant open on Christmas Eve detracted from what would have otherwise been a perfect dining experience. I sincerely hope that the management will reconsider their approach to scheduling in the future,allowing their hardworking staff to enjoy well-deserved time with their families during the holiday season.Ryan

This was a great find. We spent the day at Longwood Gardens and had made reservations here for a big group. Food was great! Everyone was happy with their food. Lots of gluten-free options. I always feel bad that there are only a few options, while the rest of us have a big menu to choose from. While the food was great, the whole experience was better, because the person in our group with celiac was able to have lots of choices and enjoy their meal. I do have to mention that we all love Italian food and some of the best "Italian" cooks I know were in my party, and we were all pleased with our meals and appetizers. West Chester is full of great places to dine but Mercato is one of my favorites! Food is delicious, atmosphere is vibrant and fun and service is usually great. I wanted to write this review because when we dined there yesterday, they were extremely busy and our waiter unfortunately did not bring out our appetizers in a timely fashion and my drink also took about 20 minutes. That being said, the true test of customer service is how a restaurant handles mishaps like this. During busy times this could happen to any restaurant but when it does, Mercato knows how to make it right. The manager immediately came over and apologized profusely and comped the drink as well as one of our appetizers. She was very kind and accommodating, and made up for the inconvenience. If you haven’t tried this neighborhood gem, you really should!
