The service was top notch. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure that all of her guests are pleased with their experience. The waiter staff are also very personable and friendly. As for the food, I found my meal last night to be absolutely delicious and so did my fiancée. I had a Shrimp and Scallop St. Jacques which was such an amazing dish and crème brûlée for desert which was wonderful. My fiancée had the Seared Halibut and loved her dinner.

Very quaint restaurant, the staff was great. Our waiter was very friendly and had some good suggestions, and the interior is nice, I guess somewhat modern.We had the stuffed pepper, the bass, and the calamari, and they were all delicious along with the peanut butter pie and the cheesecake. I’d recommend a night out here for sure.

Wow! Our party of 4 couldn’t stop raving about our meals. We had the Winter 3 course dinner available on Thursday nights. Each course was delicious from appetizer to dessert. Gina was excellent as our server. We’ll be back!

Went here for NYE dinner with my husband. I had the Caesar salad and surf and turf. My husband had the lobster bisque and halibut. We both loved our meal and the atmosphere was very romantic! Our waitress was friendly.

I’ve dined there twice. If it’s not the best restaurant in W Chester, it’s very close. Ginaand Chris were both excellent. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is great. Even with a full house, not so loud that youcouldn’t carry on conversations at the table.Everyone loved their meal (salmon/pastas/short ribs/fillet) and the icecream sandwich dessert was to die for.
Never received a confirmation from the restaurant so by Friday or Saturday I called and they said they did not have me booked and could only then offer me a 5:30 or an 8:30 seating. Did not know what happened whether it was their problem or mine and they apologized. I of course was not in the least willing to do 5:30 or 8:30. I have always been disappointed that they dropped out of open table and another application and it seems now they have their own reservation system.

We have been going here for 5 years. It’s our go to for a wonderful meal. We are two busy parents so we don’t get out much… this place never fails. We have tried many other places and each time we are disappointed that we didn’t choose Spence. Their steak is 5/5!
