I cannot speak highly enough about Mary's Vine in Rankin. My family made reservations weeks ago for today. My birthday is March 27 so this was a birthday celebration for me. I was SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED to arrive to the table to a birthday card....I may be turning 54 but the card on the "reserved" table made me giddy with 12 year old excitement!!! From our initial drinks to ending the meal was a perfect 10. We started the experience with drinks. I went with the Cape Codder, dad with a beer, mum with sparkling water and diet coke. Drinks a TEN. We next had Caesar salads (all the same) with olives and anchovies added. My 78 year old father literally said it was the best Caesar salad he's ever had. And the portion sizes....OMG!. Salads a TEN. We got the bread for the table. I'm not a bread eater and I couldn't stay away from it; the perfect combination of olive oil and pepper. Bread a TEN. I ordered a Rose' wine flight... to whomever from this page that recommended trying a flight, THANK YOU!! That was so fun!! Wine tasting a TEN. Then, like magic, we all ordered the same entree.... the STEAK DIANE. HOLY COW.... no pun intended.... It was fork tender, 2 filets served with vegetables and oven roasted potatoes. The "Diane Sauce" was magical. Entrees a TEN. Then came dessert. My dad's socks were blown off when he saw a pound cake served with pears. Pears are his favorite. Mum and dad both ordered that. I got the s'mores skillet that came with a birthday candle. Desserts a TEN. It's been a long time since I've been able to say that I had such an amazing experience in a restaurant. The ambiance was incredible. Our server was PHENOMENAL. The food was beyond words. I am SO FORTUNATE to be turning 54 (I am a cancer survivor) and still have both my parents to celebrate with.... and I'm so freaking ecstatic that we were able to share this amazing experience together. Without a doubt I recommend Mary's Vine. Tonight my family decided that this is the

Delicious meal in a sumptuous setting. Service was attentive but not disruptive. Thoroughly enjoyable / not rushed. A bit expensive but well worth the total experience. Definitely going back.

Mary's Vine is one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. The food, drinks, and ambiance are out of this world. The speakeasy downstairs is so cool. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. If you haven't been you are missing out. I can't say enough about how great this place is.

This restaurant is one of the best in Pittsburgh! Great food and service. Our wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend to friends. Also enjoyed the live music.

Arrived a few minutes before 6:00 for a 6:30 reservation on a Friday so we could have a drink at the bar. We were told the bar wasn't open. (On a Friday night at 6:00?!?) We asked if we could be seated. The answer was no and that it was a little early. The dining room was empty so it wasn't like the table wasn't ready. The hostess did tell us we could go to the downstairs cigar lounge. I do enjoy that area AFTER dinner as I don't want to smell like smoke prior to dinner. Since our option was the cigar lounge or sit in the vestibule for a half hour we went downstairs. There was no offer to come get us when they decided it was okay for us to sit at our table. The hostess was rude (had her back to us and wouldn't look at us when we walked in because apparently it is much too difficult to acknowledge us while on the phone. Maybe a class on multitasking and etiquette would be helpful?). All of this happened while the owner was standing right inside the door watching. It was apparent she didn't want to accommodate us either. We did have a nice dinner with friends once we came upstairs and were allowed to be seated. Some of the food was very good and some was okay. The server was pleasant. Normally when we dine there the owner will come to the table and talk to us. But as she could tell we were not impressed at all with the events leading up to dinner, she chose to ignore our table. All this being said, we've been there many times and have entertained both friends and customers - always having a great experience. The way the hostess and owner handled this situation has us leaning elsewhere - get your priorities straightened out, especially when you're not busy - make every experience count.

We have been to Mary's Vine three times, for brunch, for a wine pairing dinner, and for a wine education and dinner. The wine and the food were truly outstanding. And, the old church has been beautifully transformed. We will definitely be back for more.

The space is amazing and worth at least one visit if you've never been there. At least a dozen people that had gone before me said the exact same thing and I had to see it for myself - the food is "so-so" and over priced especially since it is not top shelf good, but the cocktails are very good and the ambiance is amazing. The cigar bar was fantastic if you love cigars, but the service was QUITE slow and seemingly not very experienced. This place has enormous potential. We hope they can get the food fixed for sure, as we would come back.

This was our first visit to Mary's Vine for their Sunday lunch. We started with an Italian board of meats, cheeses, olives, etc., along with a rose wine flight. For my entree I chose the shrimp and polenta and it was my favorite all-time Mary's Vine dish! My husband chose the chicken and waffles and enjoyed that, as well. For dessert I chose the house made blueberry cheesecake and it was delicious and a very unique twist on cheesecake. If you're a “foodie” who likes to try new things, definitely check out Mary's Vine!

Mary's Vine is incredible. The staff was so knowledgeable and professional. The food was incredible. The space is unbelievably cool. Give yourself time either before or after dinner to have a drink downstairs. Very unique speakeasy experience.

The wine list is as interesting as it can be in state controlled PA. It is quite extensive and the servers are particularly knowledgeable. But, the food, which used to be good, is now excellent. The new chef actually cooks rather than throws ingredients together. Flavors are intense (which doesn't happen without extra care and processing) and menu is even more extensive and imaginative. A bit pricey but definitely worth it.

We really enjoy Mary's Vine! Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food and wine. The Library downstairs is great for after dinner drinks and to relax! It is definitely a must for a unique dinner experience!

Red Wine flight was amazing. The Sparkling one was pretty good as well. The Seabass was delicious. The vegetarian Wellington was a little bland. Could have used more pesto drizzle, maybe. Super friendly and welcoming family. Cool things to discover your first time there.

We felt that you dinner menu was fantastic when we visited 2 weeks ago. Upon looking over your lunch menu, we made a reservation for this past Sunday. The steak sandwich was no longer on your menu even though it appeared on you website. Only one salad was available. No type of chicken sandwich or wraps. Disappointed in the selections of the lunch menu

One of the owners greeted us upon arrival, which was lovely. She could not have been more accommodating. Our server was new and clearly nervous, but pleasant and efficient. While their dinner menu is extensive, we found the lunch menu to be extremely limited. That said, the quality and taste was good. It was pricey, but a unique and nice atmosphere. I'd like to add that a handwritten birthday card from the restaurant, was at our table upon arrival (as we were celebrating a birthday). It was a nice touch.

My place to go to have an enjoyable evening with friends. The food is always AMAZING and always something new and exciting to try. The service is always on target and just the right amount of checking in on your needs. GREAT place to enjoy an evening out!
