“For years my family has been searching for truly authentic Mediterranean cuisine— after tonight the search is over! Sahara is our new favorite restaurant. The quality and freshness of each ingredient in every dish that they serve sets this restaurant apart from all the others by miles. The flavor of each dish was exquisite and tells a story of the hard work and many hours that go into crafting each bite. The service was fantastic, and it was such a pleasure learning more from the owner Tom about how they prepare their incredible food. We ordered the family dinner platter with skewers of chicken, beef, and lamb— all of the meats and grilled vegetables were marinated, cooked, and seasoned to perfection. The platter came with the shepherd salad, which was all made fresh upon ordering and had a great lemon dressing. The platter also included their fresh pita bread and hummus, which were incredible! The French fries included in the platter were delicious as well. We ordered an appetizer of their stuffed grape leaves too, which were out of this world! For dessert, we had their homemade baklava, which only further sealed the deal that this restaurant is our new family favorite! If we could give Sahara more than a perfect review, we would! After spending over 14 years living and traveling in Europe, it has been difficult to find a restaurant that matches the quality and freshness of the food served overseas— Sahara achieved that and more! I cannot recommend them enough! You will not be disappointed!“

“I've been looking for a new Mediterranean restaurant for a while, and my daughter and I decided to give this a try.I have a new Mediterranean restaurant! The beef shawarma was amazing. It was so good that we both polished ours off without a second thought. Absolutely delicious, fresh, and seasoned flawlessly.The namoora was phenomenal. I hadn't had any in quite some time and when saw it on the menu, we had to try it. We also got some baklava and it was also incredibly good.Long story short, the staff care about their customers, the food is delicious, and I will most definitely be visiting this place often!!Just go. “I gave this place 5 stars because I went there for the authentic food. My friend and I enjoyed the delicious grape leaves, babaganoush, the bread was warm and fresh. I like the chicken and beef kebab combo while my friend had gyro. I'm not a fan of lamb but I'm sure it's also delish base on how well they marinated the meat. Btw, the restaurant also has and available mini grocery for a quick shopping. The ambience is a little old, nothing fancy but it's ok. The food was delicious.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian dishes has descriptions so it's easy to identify plus the guy was helpful to inform us the ingredients.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps or stairs.“

“Amazing experience, from food to service spot on! Manager Ali, servers are all very courteous and to top it off the food is absolutely tasty. We ordered mixed grill and Kabsa. Meat was tender and juicy, and the humus is best I had in a while. I'm definitely going to be a regular customer.“

“Damascus makes some of the most delicious and best authentic Middle Eastern food that you will find in the greater Lehigh Valley. The food if so incredibly rich with flavors. I grew up eating in a middle eastern home with lots of authentic cooking and I promise you that this is the spot to grab some food if middle eastern cuisine is what you are in the mood for. The owners are so kind and lovely too!“

“Absolutely delicious food but they are not forthcoming in how they serve. They take your order at the table and then they come around and check on you occasionally but no one ever tells you need to get up and go to the counter and pay your bill. No one asked if we would like dessert. And you don't see your bill until you go to the counter. It was very busy for about an hour and a half because of the delicious food, but we were disappointed in the service and lack of communication.“

“Walked into the market looking for a quick, pre-concert bite to eat. They had us at baba ganoush! It was delicious, as was the wrap and nachos were had as well. Service was a bit slow- there was only one person cooking and the girl at the counter had to package and take orders. The line was longer than any other restaurant in there- so good for Zahra and the other concert goers with good taste buds.“

“Aladdin has been a Allentown favorite for years Tonight it did not disappoint. Very busy night, as service was on top of tables. Food we ordered was fresh and fabulous. It’s a BYOB and very accommodating to glassware or ice Saturday night they have a belly dancer, she also made the evening memorable. “HandHeldz is a Mediterranean style restaurant that specializes in craft sandwiches, smoothies & juices, and Middle Eastern dishes such as falafel and hummus. They are located on E 3rd Street in Southside Bethlehem. I ordered Honey Roasted Brussels (weekly special) and one of their most popular sandwiches; O.M.G (Oh My Gouda). Both Fantastic! The Brussels were tossed in habanero infused honey and then topped with scallions, walnuts, and bacon bits. Best I've ever had! Oh My Gouda is made with oven roasted turkey, bacon, gouda, lettuce, tomato, basil, honey dijon, and mayo. It's served on fresh Italian Bread. Absolutely recommend! I could eat at this place every day! It's a little pricey, but worth every penny. Pickup and delivery are both available. “This is a very small restaurant with Mediterranean food. The food is very authentic and fresh. Prices are very reasonable. Service is good. Keep in mind that is not a good place for a large group. Highly recommended if you are looking for nice a falafel or a shwarma.“
