As a former restaurant owner who has never wrote a review,I feel obliged to share our wonderful experience.Traveling back to Montgomery county Pa less than 2 weeks ago we hit the seasons first snow storm.Stopping in Williamsport we stumbled upon this restaurant.Even though they were closing they graciously welcomed us.Not only was the food excellent so was the company.The owner showed us around and shared with us its rich history.Great time and great food which what it’s all about!Especially coming from two people who love to try new places.A must visit!!!!!!

Visited last weekend for the first time and I will start with the positive. The food was delicious! We had the shrimp appetizer, pappardelle bolognese and ravioli which were all great and perfect generous portions. The dinner rolls were quite disappointing. Tasted like something from Costco or BJs rather than good Italian bread which I would expect to be served here. I will note the oil/vinegar/seasoning dip was great!Overall the service was very disappointing. We were told we had one server, then a different one, then finally we had John, who was not very attentive or professional. My boyfriend had to ask for a wine menu after he asked what we wanted to drink. The menu was then handed to me. We also had to ask for more water when our glasses were empty which was mishandled. The pitcher finished filling my boyfriend's glass and the waiter never returned with more water to fill mine, until we flagged him down.The only time the waiter checked on us he asked "do the entrées meet your needs" which we thought was a bit odd. At a nice restaurant we have certain expectations of service which definitely fell short here.We are from NYC and were in town for a long weekend. We came here for a nice dinner since the Peter Herdic house was closed but will not be returning.

Wait staff was efficient, friendly, helpful and accurate. When the room was full, it was noisy but not as bad as some places. She crab soup was nicely flavored with plenty of crab in it but too creamy/thick for my taste. It is not a red base. Halibut was excellent and done just right. Asparagus was delicately flavored and cooked perfectly. Gnocchi was reported to be delicious as were the meatballs and the Pappardelle Pescatore. Try any of the desserts. Chocolate hazelnut gelato, tiramisu and lava cake all very good.There is an area where they sell food and will make baskets for gifts.

We were there for a large Christmas Party for work. The food was not as good as it would have been going to their restaurant. Prime Rib was decent but the chicken was dried out lacking flavor. Service is excellent.
Our waitstaff was lovely and the food is excellent however we called a long time ago for a reservation for 11 people and they tried to seat us at two separate tables. The person taking reservations is not very friendly almost like they are doing you a favor to seat you. I've read the responses to any reviews with criticism and one can sense the attitude. I was never told two separate tables and it is interesting that they were able to put two tables together after we complained. I guess they could have done that in the 1st place.
