Have bin in this restaurant many times over the past 25years. Food has always been top-notch! Have mostly done takeout during the work day. I am moving into the area now and this is the closest restaurant to my new address. I would like to be able to eat in more often, but unless you are able get one of the few booths, the metal chairs are extremely uncomfortable!I would love to visit more often and make this my go-to place to eat, but it killed me to sit in one of those metal chairs!
Walked in an hour before the posted closing time and was told takeout only. Lots of nasty looking cold pizza sitting out. No reason to go back ever.

We use Villa Rosa website for deliver due to us have mobility issues. We love how easy the site is to use and all the choices they provide so that you can request add-ons to make your meal specific to your taste and preference. Our meals always arrive well packaged, hot and done correctly to all of our requests. We are always pleased. Their Chicken Vesuvious entree is our favorite. The portion size is large enough for both my husband and I to eat and have leftover. We usually order more than one entree so that we can try new things and to have for another day. Their food heats up well, including their pizza. Having delivery of such quality food is wonderful and so very convenient for us. Their delivery people are prompt, patient and courteous as it takes us a little longer than most to get to the door. Bravo and thank you Villa Rosa on your wonderful food and delivery service!

It's my favorite pizza place in the world. I grew up eating this and it is the standard that I hold any other pizza slice to. I was discharged from Temple Hospital after 41 days and this was the first stop on my way home. Mind you, I live in Center City.
I worked here in 1985. It's changed quite a bit over the years but the food is very good.

Villa Rosa was always good, but they have managed to get even better. Their ingredients are just a cut above, the mushrooms especially which aren't jarred or canned. The pineapple they use is in small thin chunks so as to not overwhelm the pizza and also serves to not make it soggy. Haven't had a pizza here that wasn't perfectly cooked. I think a good test of how good a pizza place is to order a cold slice and see if it tastes good. Pizza here always tastes good, fresh, room temp, cold or reheated. Perfect chew on the crust, they use a good amount of sauce that's perfectly spiced, not overly sweet or a basil bomb, just right. The eggplant, whether a sandwich or dinner is also a highlight here. They thin slice the eggplant and don't over bread it, always tender and just tastes great. For me Villa Rosa is just the most reliably excellent place for takeout really anywhere in the area. It's consistently great and that's very rare.
